The saddest thing is that if Michelle wasn’t kidnapped nobody would’ve ever cared about her. So many girls live lives like that and never get a chance to tell their story

She wrote at least one book, maybe two. She's been very visible since they were freed. She wasn't ready and had to get back into serious therapy; she worked very hard and is doing well. Part of her therapy as well as the other 2 girls', is that she is helping others that have been abused etc. Now she is married and G_d bless her!!!

OysterHunter Michelle’s journey has been very different to the other 2 girls. No one was looking for her. They had families to go home to - she didn’t. She has limited mental capacity on top of the trauma (therefore having a greater need for a form of income) and yes, I think this is the first time in her life she had attention. It’s also clear the other two girls formed a bond that didn’t include her. She wasn’t allowed to keep her pregnancies but he doted on Amanda’s baby. Ariel was also furious with her because he realised she wasn’t the age he thought she was and punished her for it, since he couldn’t release her. If the other girls were treated like scum, Michelle was treated like the amoeba that feed on scum.

  • @oysterhunter276

Blondesense I completely agree but she's been doing books, interviews and documentaries for years now, even before the other two did. To claim that she's 'finally' being able to tell her story is ridiculous. She's always been very vocal in the media about her struggles. And that is commendable.

I love them!! I love Michelle!! She is my favorite person. She inspires me and makes me want to be better. Michelle is incredibly strong and amazing to me!! Honestly when she talks about the joy or how she feels in spite of what is going on it brings me to tears. I just really love how in spite of everything she remains positive. That is truly amazing to me. I gotta be more like her. My mom and I were crying watching this episode of 20/20 when they found the girls! Also to see them re-build their lives is amazing and inspiring! I had a trauma too and it is really hard some times. But all you see is these women living their lives and advocating!!

yeah the other girls do their interviews together and michelle is left alone. poor michelle was pregnant 5 times and while the was pregnant she was starved and punched in the stomach until the baby dies, now she is unable to have children. the other two got to sit and watch tv and amanda got to keep her baby michelle definitely got the worst of it!

According to Michelle Knight she and Gina were close and started bonding because they were chained together most of the time her relationship with Amanda was alright but Castro would pit the girls by making them jealous by playing favourites and would feed them lies that made them not trust each other they were in the same house for over 10 years it's not really that hard to believe that they would bond and open up each other if you read the books there are jealousy conflicts or whatever like Michelle was forced to abort 5 times and Amanda get to keep her child and Castro made Michelle deliver Amanda's baby threatening to kill her if the baby didn't survived complaining that Amanda didn't thank Michelle I bet she already did and would always be grateful even when she didnt ask Michelle to help her give birth the baby was born while they were in Captivity I think Amanda thank her enough now that they were free Michelle chooses to go on her own path and distance herself from Amanda and Gina but still hope to unite with them one day and there is nothing wrong with Amanda and Gina sticking together and being best friends they were teenagers and close in age when kidnapped all 3 don't have to do anything together all the girls care for each other and wish each other the best

What an incredible spirit...after everything, she still has such a shine about her. I wonder though...how does someone in her situation establish a new life? I hope her book pays her well...she deserves comfort and security, and clearly a better future than what the first half of her life afforded. She missed out on education, and is starting from zero in many ways. I hope she has a good support system and resources to build a beautiful life.

2:56 I wish we could have heard more from Eddie Knight, her brother! For example: what did he think had happened to Michelle when he lost contact with her? What are his memories of his growing up and how do they correlate with Michelle's memories? What was his reunion with Michelle like? It's a shame they didn't include more of their interview with him!
