I always felt so sorry for her bc lots of people ignored the fact that she went through all of that along with Gina and Amanda. The media payed more attention to the other girls. I think Michelle went through the most physical, mental, verbal and emotional abuse. He was sooooo cruel to her

I completely agree that Lily should have had more coverage but I believe the reason. Why they focused on the two other girls (and I'm not saying it right) is because they were teens when they were taken. Yes Lily was there longer but the two teen were only children still and the abuse may have a stronger impact from the abuse. Plus it was Amanda who saved the three of them. They probably see that as her being the "Stronger" one. When in reality she saw an opportunity save themselves and seized it. A woman who was abducted and abused for ten years who wouldn't let him break her spirit. Or Young woman missing for 10+ years and was a teenager when she was taken saved herself and two other women plus her daughter from their kidnapper. Which sounds better? While I completely agree Lily should have had more coverage then what she did get. I believe they felt Amanda being the one to free them and had been a teen when she was abducted 10+years ago sounds better to them. But this is just imo

@@ladylokiwifeodindottir7095 she didn't want the attention at first. She told them she'll talk when she's ready. Then she saw the others getting the spotlight then decided she was ready. Plus the other was the one that got them out AND had the child by him.

I am happy for all three and I wish them only happiness. With the age difference, it is not surprising that Amanda and Gina remain close. It also sounds as though their abuser (while he pitted them against one another) kept Michelle away from the other two. In addition, there may be some resentment about Amanda being allowed to have her baby and Michelle was never graced same. That would have to cause additional trauma to Michelle. Again, I am happy to see that they are moving on with their lives and I hope they continue to grow as the incredible survivors that they are now known to be.

But she could be using that as a coping mechanism, or just becoming who she is and telling her story through those tattoos as well. So many reasons as to why people get tattoos and it isn't a race thing. Quite a shame to use the "white people" card amd to say that period, the way this world is n considering how far that America has become with races! This woman is a Walking Miracle, with great Strength. Never judge until you KNOW the full and true story behind someone else's choices, decisions, and life.

Wells, now she's overweight. That's not good either, she needs to built a healthy relationship with food, which of course will be very hard after what happened to her. It's pretty common I think that people gain a lot of weight after traumatic events, something similar happened to Natasha kampusch for example, another girl who was kidnapped, had to starve for years and then became overweight. I really hope she manages to cope with it, so that she can live a long and healthy life without any medical problems. Saying you are glad that someone is overweight is in fact pretty ignorant, it's something very dangerous and painful. I guess you just meant that you're happy she has normal access to food now, which I agree with, but her weight is nothing to be happy about. It's rather worrying.

Light Bringer All the victims gained a lot of weight. And most likely it’s because he destroyed their metabolisms by starving them as punishment. When your body is starved it goes into a survival mode and stores more fat when you eat because it doesn’t know when you’ll receive another meal. And it’s harder to correct your metabolism and it becomes harder for them to lose weight or burn fat.

I think (and I felt the way you did for a second at first) the parents know she’s traumatized and they want to make sure that she doesn’t inflict any harm on their son. They don’t know her, after all. And they want to make sure their son, and her son, doesn’t suffer as a result of all this. I’m a parent. Their primary duty is to their child. And this IS their child, even though he’s also her child. Adoptive parents are every bit as much parents as birth parents are. They’re cautious and they must be very conflicted. This must be hard for them too, after thinking mom was dead in absentia for so long.

Beverly Huttinger the pain you experience from the needle going in your skin is extremely therapeutic. My entire left arm are going to be bracelets around my arm that represents positive and negative things that made me grow into my womanhood (I have 3/19 bands done). Everytime I get a tattoo that symbolizes a tough time in my life it is literal therapy for me. The best way to explain it is in that pain during the tattoo I put the same pain I felt in that time in my life. I can then put that pain away and have a reminder of how stronger it made me. To each their own I don't need anyone but myself to find it beautiful and freeing in fact my grandfather responds the way you do.

Michelles story out of the 3 girls that where kidnapped hurt me the most . First of all she was the longest captive of Ariel Castro , he kidnapped her back in early 2003 . She already lost her son to foster care weeks before that and was heart broken and now this happend to her . Nobody from her family looked for her the news didnt spend a single minute airing her dissaparance they all thought she just ran away from home . Over the years Ariel forced her to watch images of the other 2 girls whos families where looking for them and he said to Michelle : "See nobody cares about you !" . Michelle kept strong she was the driving force for the girls ultimate escape also she was the oldest so she lost the most time if you will she was 20 when Ariel kidnapped her . When she got out she was almost 32...... STAY STRONG SWEETHEART! .

Well, sadly she says a lot that is not true. The child was abused more than once before cps took him. David Fecley was convicted and was not her mother's boyfriend like she claims. I was hoping after intensive therapy she would stop, but apparently nothing has changed. She keeps changing her stories and is still adding more lies. Which makes me wonder how impaired her mental/cognitive state was before her abduction.(see video M before abduction). Family members said she had the mind of a child. Its also mentioned in her missing person report, filed by her mother on the 23rd August 2002. After the rescue she had a very good female attorney who said she was worried about her, seeing the wrong kind of people at the time. Hopefully she keeps looking out for her and especially manages her finances. She met her husband via facebook when she was far from recovered, mentally. Married him in 2015. Who knows if his motivation is not her money? She is very vulnerable, easy to be exploited. Not just by the media.

They escaped because Amanda Berry’s child figured out that the kidnapper was gone, so Amanda made noise in order to catch a neighbour’s attention. That’s how (I think) they escaped.

On that day, instead of parolling, he begins his 1,000 year sentence. If it's run consecutively. Which it would in almost all cases of violence.

We have to understand that God or Jesus is not causing our plights... We are doing it to ourselves through our own sins... We have a choice to do right or wrong , God does not do it for us ( FREE WILL ) We turned away from God's word , God's teachings , that is all on us... Do not blame God for what we have done and if we want to save this world and the horrors in it then believe in God and our Savior Jesus Christ that they will deliver us from evil... REMEMBER , EVIL CANNOT SURVIVE IF THERE IS NO SIN AND THE LESS SIN THE LESS EVIL !! I have had my share of ups and downs but I have never blamed God for them ....
