Backstreet Boys were like your best friend's older brother who comes home from college over summer and you stare at while he works out in the garage. N*SYNC is the popular boy in school who's surprisingly sweet.

Maybe for US. Outside US, NSync was not that popular. Outside US, BSB was like MJ. They were so famous starting 1995 specially here in Asia. NSync, not so much. BSB was more of a global superstar, NSync was not.
BSB dropped out of the Disney gig because Brian needed open heart surgery, something he felt pressured to put off for awhile.💔

Yep, and he wasn't even allowed to recover properly after the operation. I read somewhere that backstage during intervals at their concerts he'd breathe from oxygen tanks because he was really tired. Something similar happened with Howie; his sister died of lupus and he was allowed to attend the funeral, but had to return that same day for a concert. The poor guy cried on the plane all the way from the burial to the stadium because he was so sad but wasn't allowed to grieve properly.

All things considered, Chris is ironically wearing the shirt with Perlman standing in the back of them. Talk about awkward placement.
Thing about Perelman is he had a real chance to be one of the stalwarts of pop music history had he just been fair and played by the rules. Greed is not good. Tragic Greek tale.
