    BSB and NSYNC never were rivals. The media and the fans made it sound like they were. I met Joey Fatone once and asked him and he told me some of the members of both bands are really good friends with each other and there was no competition for attention. I'm proud to be a fan of Both!

    @@royshaguillena9102 It's not just about high notes. The reason why it was always JC & Justin singing lead, is that they were the only two in the band with actual solo voices. They had very distinkt vocals, which shines through easily. Chris & Joey just don't have the x factor to pull that off. Joey sounds like a high school musical, and Chris is too nasal. So they definitely need someone else, with the same capacity as Justin, to trade leads with JC.

    @@MichaelHolmgaard I think Chris and Joey also has a very good solo voices and can compliment JC's voice.. ppl just did not see that because they were not given that chance to show off their solo voices esp Joey..when I heard him doing solos and adlibs on their song "On the Line" with Mandy Moore, Bbmak etc, it made me think why they didn't gave Joey a chance to do more solos in NSYNC... he can belt on high notes so well... Justin cannot even belt on high notes, he always do falsettos to reach high notes...I think it's time for Chris and Joey to show what they got together with JC..and you are right, they don't need Justin

  • @MichaelHolmgaard

    @MichaelHolmgaard

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@royshaguillena9102 I get that tehy can helt highh notes. But that's not all it takes to sin lead in the kind of band Nsync was. Joey & Chris have good backup voices, but og they sang solo, people would tire of them after 5 minutes. Singing lead is about having that voice with something extra. A voice that is recognisable and shines through. Even in the harmonies, the backbone of Nsync was JC & Justin. It was their voiced that melted together perfectly. Justin wasn't a skilled singer, but the volume he had in that falsetto was something you don't see often. Then you have JC, who Max Martin mentioned as the greatest male singer he ever worked with! That's what it takes to sing solo. Not just a good voice, but a recognisable voice. It's just like in Backstreet Boys, where Brian Littrell was pretty much the lead singer back in the day, while Howie was put in the backseet. Sure, Howie had a good voice, but he sounded like a ton og others singers in the industry. However, Brian had the x factor. The unique voice you get like once every 20 years in the pop industry. That's how it works

    Longevity and success speaks for itself. N'sync ran out of steam because they were more focused on their image and their brand versus letting each member shine individually. They also kept the focus on JC and Justin (sonically and visually) while the rest of the band faded into the background, kind of like Nicole with the Pussycat Dolls. Their chemistry was off too, you can tell they didn't bond in real life and were a packaged pop product of the era. It's evident in their old interviews. BSB had the formula and the talent. The fact BSB is still making music to this day is enough to shut down this argument FOR GOOD. BSB won. Periodt lol 😎👍

    You forgot Jodeci who Nsync actually they stole that singing in the rain video from that abc is crediting as their idea. Soul 4 real and Hi-five. In the 80's/90's the music scene was so segregated that it was easy for white artists to steal creations from black artists while the original true artists labored in relative obscurity. Madonna stole her entire like a Virgin wardrobe from Jody Watley. I bet no one knows who she is. Everyone knows Maddona.

    It was a great documentary! Lance did a wonderful job compiling the interviews and getting the information from a relatively non-biased group of people. Obviously this man did a lot of things wrong, Lou Perlman, but this documentary really does shed light on the entirety of what happened. I recommend it!
