Trains at Gloucester, Disruption & Diversions! | 14/03/17

A rather problematic afternoon at Gloucester station on Tuesday 14th March 2017. Due to a road vehicle damaging a bridge somewhere between Gloucester and Bristol Parkway the line was subsequently shut. I was on the Cross Country HST featured at the start of this video, which made it almost to Cam & Dursley before being reversed back on ourselves into Gloucester station where we was then detrained, the service cancelled and the set headed empty stock somewhere out of the way. Fortunately for anyone intending to travel further west a Voyager to Plymouth was close behind to pick up the stranded passengers and head via Lydney to Severn Tunnel Jnc, where it would then reverse and head through the Severn Tunnel to Bristol. Gloucester to Bristol via Wales essentially! - Certainly the long way round. So I quickly changed my plans and decided to wait for the next service to London Paddington, which left me just over an hour to film all the diverted & disruption train services in Gloucester. An extremely busy 90 min period with diverted Cross Country services passing through, as well as Freight and a surprise visit from the NMT HST, just to add to the chaos.
INCLUDES: Great Western HST's, 150's, 158 & 153, Cross Country HST's, Voyagers & 170 Turbostars, Arriva Trains Wales 150, South West Trains 158 (on hire to GWR), Network Measurement Train (NMT) HST! and a EWS livery DB Schenker 66015.
Never filmed at Gloucester station before, so that's a new one to add to the list. With all the diverted traffic and disruption turned out to be quite an interesting video, never quite knew what was coming round the corner next. Always good to the see the NMT HST (flying banana) as well, which randomly pops up all over the country from time for time.

A real mixed bag - great stuff. Amidst all of the chaos were there extra services to Cheltenham in this video for the racing festival?

At the north side some trains look like they have enough speed to pass a normal big station

That's because it's 2 platforms... he is stood on platform 1 while platform 2 is further down! If you do count it as 1 it still is only 2nd longest (602m) behind Colchester (620m)

You need a camera that records in 4K, then I use Adobe Premier Pro for my editing. You could also use Sony Vegas.
