Trains at Lydney, GNL - 18/2/17
In this video I visited Lydney station on the Gloucester to Newport line. Services are seen here by Cross Country and Arriva Trains Wales. Joining me here was SFTFan1909, RRB Rail, Scouse Trainspotter 1999, Scotrail 170401 and OMGTrains so do check out their channels.
Lydney wasn't my favourite station to visit. It was nice to head over and visit the Dean Forest Railway as that looks rather nice but unfortunately Lydney station is very rundown. The views were fantastic so that was a massive positive along with seeing a couple of diverted services but that's about it. I don't think I'll be returning here but a session here is recommended only on diverts though or during a special.
My next station is Chepstow and this will be uploaded on Tuesday 21st February. My Eastleigh & Salisbury video diary is on the way but is delayed so Lydney will go first.

I travel from here to Chepstow virtually every day and am even in this video getting onto the atw150 to Gloucester, quite decent when the diverts go through.

What's with the diverted Voyagers? Was there engineering works between Cheltenham Spa and Bristol Parkway or something?

+Ben Tucker Yeah engineering works in the area between there. They went via Newport and Gloucester so passed through here. 😊
No Dean Forest railway? Liked that freight train, didn't know trains could go that fast on that line.
