The best thing is it didn't end here, in order to get to the starting position and home you must of taken more trains haha

Well I spent 23 hours in a bus. That was a journey lol. With 2 breaks. IT WAS HELL

For anyone reading this, if we're ever allowed to travel again, as a cross-country train connoisseur, the trick to surviving long-haul rides like this is to set up camp in the restaurant car for as long as you can. So much more room to sit, more room to sit comfortably, and more room to get up and walk around when you need to. Sometimes, the canteen may close, but not the car, so if you're on an overnight train, you can sleep in there, if you want to. I don't even try. But trust me, restaurant car. It's so much better.

You all deserve a luxury train trip or something, just thinking about these long trips make my back hurts

Last time, I had a 25 hour train journey in India, I was still somewhere in the same state. You guys had a journey of the whole country!! If you are up, lets do a train journey of 80 hours in India

Not the cheapest as in the most expensive way to travel between the two cities if you book a cabin, or else take the much cheaper seated accommodation and count yourself lucky if you get any sleep at all.

@Kara and Nate did the Trans-Siberian ride and had a fantastic time. They were on trains easily for about a week, maybe a bit longer. They lived on powdered coffee and instant noodles and really found a lot to love about the adventure!

15:10 Oh man I can relate - once did 16 days in a row of 14 hour shifts at Tesco one summer due to people leaving while a recruitment freeze was going on. My waking life was Tesco, then I would go home, sleep and dream about Tesco, then wake up again to 14 hours of Tesco! Argh!

I once took a 60 hour Amtrak train ride from Texas to Massachusetts. Spent four days there, then got back on the train for Texas. I was longer in transit, in a coach seat, than at my destination.
