I grew up in London and left the UK 8 years ago but I still love Tube videos. Despite working near Bank/Monument for years, I've used every line bar the Waterloo and City! My appendix burst on a Piccadilly Line train at Gloucester Road and I ended up in the Metro newspaper lol trauma

I’ve just discovered your channel! Being a: Geoff Marshall, Jago Hazzard, TfL3 and Nick Badley follower and you really stand up against them: smart, fun, lively, knowledgeable commentary and interesting shorts and footage and clean sharp editing. A really excellent product, well done! I shall certainly be subscribing and looking out for more.

Fun fact. The Bakerloo line got its name from its former name when it was owned by London transport. It was originally known as the Baker Street and Waterloo railway and instead of having a super long name they decided to change it to bakerloo!

Been thinking about doing this one. Surprised you say you didn't plan in advance. I've tried Gemini and GPT but it fails to plan as I looked manually at the map and it's not working. How do you reckon? Will you do things differently if you plan in advance for this?

Planning with AI is an interesting idea. In a couple years that will be possible I would imagine, but for now I would first start by picking a day and time that all the lines are running, then just find the best station to start from and work from there!

I always thought that the Circle line Offaly opened in the late 1940’s. This was a result of the creation of the loop done by the “Metropolitan Railways” & the “Metropolitan & District Railways” in the late 1800’s

@@JoeDanHirst The main Circle line takes around 30 minutes all the way around. And the farthest north to south , east to west takes a little over an hour each to do the complete stretch. I like Copenhagen's tube. Fully automatic and they are always so reliable when I'm there. They say they can drive closer together than human operated tubes.

A lady fell in the escalator and the person in front of her fell into the next and so on all the way down to the platform level like dominoes. In total 173 persons was crushed to death. There is several videos on YT about the Bethnal Green disaster well worth looking into.

@@alfsallander3400 Oh I am very aware of this. I've also watched the videos you're referring to. Such an unbelievable thing to ever happen, I believe it's the worst non-conflict related loss of civilian life during the war if I'm not mistaken. At least in London. I understood that it happened from the street entrance and not where the escalators are and that this is how they kept it a secret for years. I may be wrong though. The memorial statue is very striking.
