Better than TB for sure. The welding he does instead of just rivets can make a big difference. Master of laying turf too.

I still have mad respect for them too. Almost finished building my own boat with all aluminum, turf, and electrical and it is a ton of work

@@jakewagner1143 yeah idk if you watched his Tracker TV18 build but I have that boat too and I got the inspiration to custom build a center rod locker and all that stuff from that build. I used carpet instead of turf tho because I got the carpet for free and I didn’t like how the lined turf looked

To be honest. Tb nation isn't that amazing. Sure he does some things good but he still has a lot of learning to do. As a lifelong fabricator this is the way these boats need to be built.

That was a sweet rig. I really liked how sleek it was..he needs to ditch that grey fuel hose though. The inside lining breaks down and wreaks havoc on fuel systems.

I like your channel been watching for a long time.your have progressed into a good fisherman and you are a good person ad far as I can tell.i like how you are for the kids.kids need good roll models and there aren't alot of them out there these days. Keep doing you and good thing will come as you have already experienced.

I have that same boat, with a Merc EFI 20 horse on it. get about the same speed but I'm carrying 3 AGM's and a 24v troller. Its a great boat to fish from, it will go anywhere. He's definitely right about it being rocky up front, especially on lakes where folks are flying by at 70.

Such a sick boat…really doesn’t get any better unless your fishing big tournaments or really big water(st. Clair/Great Lake size) I love my aluminum boat it’s a scrappy little thing not quite as nice as these lol

Do you or John have any suggestions on how to get a twist out of an aluminum rivet Jon? I bought the boat and story goes, it fell off the trailer and got a bit of a twist near the rear of the boat. It floats and is fishable but the port side sits about 2” lower than starboard side? Broke and hoping for some help!

Sick video yah I got a 14ft wide vhaul tracker 2012 wide boat nothing in it be sick get it deck out got a 15hp Johnson wireless trolling motor 55lb

I need to start rebuilding boats I loved rebuilding my my bass boat maybe it won’t take two years to build another one

Pretty sure they don’t even make a tracker 1448 anymore. Smallest size out from tracker now is a 1648.

What would he charge to put a casting deck and a small little deck in the back I have a 14ft x 5 foot wide john boat I have the sheets of aluminum just no way to cut it down the put it together

Not needed, all of he hatches have a built in tract with a drain leading to a tube to the bottom of the boat so none of the compartments get wet

It was a alluminum Jon boat piece of crud and now has everything a 75000 rig has ,just smaller.You must be rich 😉

I must’ve missed the steering console, power poles, 225 outboard, rod lockers, bench seats, and all the rest of the stuff a $75k boat comes with 🤦‍♂️ Feel free to look at my channel, I bought a 500 dollar bass boat with trailer, spent 400 bucks on supplies including a trolling motor, and fished the hell out of it. And I towed it with a Prius 👍🏻
