What Would I Change??? {Jon Boat To Bass Boat Conversion - TWO YEARS LATER}

Спорт

It's been two years since I did my jon boat to bass boat conversion. I did this video to answer the question of how it's been holding up and what I change if I wanted to. This is a deep dive into answering these question. I will walk you through the entire boat from back to front and also talk about an unexpected repair I had to make. Hopefully this video serves as a good update from two years ago when I did this jon boat build. Please like and share this video wit others. Great job on the update. One of the things I like about you and your channel is you keep it honest and real. You talk about the troubles or mistakes you have and you work through them with us watching and learning too. The channel has a little bit of everything. Anyone can find something they like or relate to. I have enjoyed the journey of watching this channel grow and I look forward to the future videos. Thank you BBFDMV!!! Tight Lines!!!

    Thank you for this one! Great design! We use those aluminum rivnuts on our aircraft at work. They do very well! Just have to add grease to each bolt going into them so they don’t corrode. Otherwise they will tear them out when removing later on. We fly around loads of salt (coast guard).

    Nice video! When I use my trolling motor I leave my 9.9hp motor locked in a straight position in the water and it acts like a rudder. I have my trolling motor slightly off to one side and not centered and when I do not have the big motor down I have a hard time driving in a stright line.

    Been watching some of your vids recently and I have an Alumacraft 1442 that I am looking to do some modifications to. I was thinking about extending the front deck to the first seat, basically how you did yours, but I was curious if it matters to raise the platform up? Do you think it would be ok to create a platform out of aluminum and keep it at the same level of both the platform and bench. Then just covering the bench, platform, and platform extension with an adhesive deck material. I wanted to see if you had any opinions on this. Also if it matters, I use it strictly in salt water.

  • @BassBrothersFishingDMV

    @BassBrothersFishingDMV

    Жыл бұрын

    I would defintely use aluminum for salt water. Raising it up helps to provide balance while standing on your deck. Of course it's all personal preference but I would recommend adjusting your casting deck so that it's level from front to back.
