Attach the kill cord to your leg, its there for safety, if it's attached to your leg it will cut the engine if you go overboard and stop it running you down.

I got 2018 1448 Tracker Grizzly with 2019 Mercury 25 hp Short Shaft with Stainless prop 11 pitch which I might drop it to a 10 pitch.. Runs fine with one person. If you have two one person must sit toward the front. Trolling motor 12V 48lb minn Kota which works fine in the Louisiana bayous. Easy to handle which is what I love about it and very stable for a 14ft boat. Only dislike is my paint peeled on the back and cap has bubbles. Besides the paint issues the boat has been a pretty good little boat.

You could attach a small line to the kill switch at the end of your session and pull it when you are done after you crank it up on the trailer. Might avoid a slip if your feet are wet trying to get back in the boat. Thanks for sharing the video.

Were you ever able to get your trim adjusted and eliminate the "propoising"? I'm curios what speeds this boat would hit with a nice plane... My riveted 1448 does 31/32 with a Yamaha F25. I'd rather not lose 20% of my speed.

@@johncuervo3019 I just bought this exact same model the 1448. Tracker rates it at 25hp, but if you step up to the 1648 they rate it for 40hp. If you look at the transom on both boats they are identical, I've even verified it in person. So the transom itself should hold 40hp no problem and I will be buying a 40hp tiller for my boat without thinking twice. The only valid issue I've heard someone raise is related to insurance in the event of an accident. My state doesn't require boat insurance and common sense goes a long way on the water. I urge you to go check it out in person at your local bass pro. These boats are built like tanks.

I don't know how many times I've seen videos of boats running around with nobody in them, the operator ended up in the water and wasn't wearing the safety lanyard. Such a basic safety precaution, I can't understand why anyone would want to risk getting run over by their own boat, propellers can do horrible injuries to a human being. I noticed yours hanging unattached.

I was looking for a comment on this. Huge safety issues. I like the creators boat and his mod ideas etc. I do not like the HUGE and SIMPLE safety issues that are being “taught” or “advertised” here. Like leaving it run on the trailer at the ramp and going to the front. Just shut it off and crank it in the rest of the way!!

@@brianchisnell1548 it’s pretty simple, don’t leave the “helm” or control of the motor while it’s running. There is plenty of KZread videos showing why it’s stupid to do so. No need for back up cameras and airbags when all you need is a little common sense. “In the old days” people used to do a lot of things they no longer do.

ILIKE2FISH Honestly I’m not sure about the Tampa area because it’s known for inshore / Deep offshore fishing in Tampa. Only thing I could think of is the Hillsborough River. I live in the ORLANDO/Kissimmee are its tons of lake to fish in the are and the noticeable are Harris Chain, Toho and Kissimmee Chain. I also fish a-lot of local lakes in the area because I’m part of a Jon Boat club that fish monthly Tournaments. Orlando Jon Boat Buddies Club Check us out on Facebook or Instagram
