I have been reading about oil pump failure problems for the GTS (2ZZ-GE) of revving while down shifting. Thanks for pointing out the oil pan logic and the solution to just switch it from a GT (1ZZ-FE).

Bad mod it changes AFR and makes engine run even leaner than from factory tune

Not sure how to feel about this. I didn’t know that it was a performance part to do your stereo.. but hey gotta get that WEIGHT REDUCTION... my mans probably said it in this video more than I have in my life... but I’m glad you like your car mate! Welcome to the celica community 😉

Toyota used to make a TRD (K&N) style filter but discontinued it because of oil particles shedding onto the o2 sensor and ruining it. (my experience was on 2000 Prerunner) I have a 2001 GTS. If you watch iconic engines the 2JZZ was built to be the best it could be. Lotus bought them and did supercharge it only. Weight reduction is Lotus theme so I agree on rear seat delete. ( I plan to and get black carpet to make it look good and control road noise). Removing the 2 transport tie downs bolted to the rear frame will drop about 3 lb.

A lightweight race intake manifold made of metal is a good mod too. But without other mods it wont add power really. Maybe 1 hp

Hey! Cool video! It might sound weird and you probably don’t remember but i was the one who bought the celica a while ago. I’ve been researching about the AC System and bought the compressor and condenser since I want to install it back. But I don’t have much knowledge.I’ve been searching for the compressor mounting braket. Yet i’m not sure if it even has it?

I got with a jdm part importer here in Houston and bought a jdm 1zz. Dropped it in my 00 celica gt and it was already faster. Now the car had 250k miles when I did this and until then had the stock motor

What’s the company’s name, boss? Need some body kits imported.

I want to leave my trim pieces stock but maybe do the rear windshield wiper deleted. The motor and shit for that has a little weight and makes the car slightly more aerodynamic.

It wouldn't be noticeable but from a physics standpoint yes it would increase aerodynamics and reduce weight.

@@BeenQA yep. I dropped the rear spoiler due to this. I had to rethink drag. It also lifts the hood at speed.

I want to make my celica heavier cause I have mods for power and I need traction. I also have other mods for traction...

For better traction get you a nice set of tires as well as looking to getting the LSD from the lotus Elise front wheel drive.

Attenda makes it look like some sort of offroading vehicle. Owns a Celica but dosn't know its history. 😭😭

Nothing personal, but you're one of those people I call ricers. Not everything is a mod my guy. Mods are actual performance upgrades like the cold air intake which infact does increase power, (much more airflow). Numbers never lie. I have a 2000 Toyota Celica GTS and my mods like the intake make a difference. Also, if it's a daily then why are you gutting it for weight reduction? Just wondering. I suggest you checking out Donut on KZread.

Airflow on a 1zz or 2zz Celi makes very, very little difference on its own. It's already a well balanced engine. Intake and exhaust mods are great once you add power through other means.

I have a celica gts and I put 2 amps on it and a JL 13 W7 sub 🤣😂 I think I screwed up putting 200 extra pounds on it
