Tori Amos - Ruby Through The Looking-Glass (studio version)

Музыка

This time I was lazy and made the video very minimalistic with just a few fade-effects. :) Nevertheless it's interesting and fits to the song, I think. Mainly I just wanted one could listen to this beautiful song in the studio version on youtube. :) It's one of my favourites by Tori.

And for someone who's been listening to her for 14 years, I still find new songs poppin up and wonder how come I don't have all of her music. I'm sure there's loads more to be discovered! Virginia's another one of those beautiful songs!

We people have NO ideea how fortunate we are to live in the same world with Tori especially at the same time I first heard this song about a year ago... but I got a hold of it only almost 3 months ago when I knew that I finally have the song and I can listen to it nonstop for 6-7 days(as I did) I started shaking really bad for an hour and a half; I was as happy as it gets but soon started worrying about the shaking... my hands went numb in about 10 min...

Exactly how I feel. Tori just pours out cups of sparkling genius from her fountain, one after the other, and each one just keeps on getting better and better. What you may think is your favorite song one day is replaced by a new find the next. It's what makes Tori one of my favorite artists.

this is one of her songs that at first doesn't have a huge impression. I always listen to her albums on shuffle coz I love all of em. Then when i'm not listening I'll find myself humming a song and so grap my MP3 and frantically search for the tune in my head, and find this one, and it becomes my new favourite Tori song. I love that about her music. It never grows old.

I think all the hormones released by the brain flooded my body... that's how much I love Tori, her music, and music in general... thank you full of genius Tori for existing... and thank you LizardWizard7 for posting this video... long live Tori Amos one of the sweetest and most beautiful creatures EVER

I agree with you... in my case music is my religion and Tori is my goddess... before Tori I was deaf, blind... you name it... I had NO ideea how to "feel" music... and I also love a lot of artists/bands, from heavy rock to the sweetest most kind and warm stuff... and to be honest I could NEVER make a top; as Tori says she couldn't place one of her "girls"(songs) above another because the rest would get jealous... that's exactly how I feel about music in general...

That's totally how I feel, I mean I'l always have my faves such as Spacedog and Sugar, i prefer songs with lots of bass and love Matt Chamberlin's drumming, and when she really lets her voice take her where it will, i find extremely moving . but then songs like this pop up outta somewhere n, like you said, become my new fave song!

wow I love this song... Tori's voices caresses me. I had the Scarlet's Walk CD but I could never discover the keys (I did not have Internet then) I only got Mountain, a song I deeply love... now Ruby Through The Looking-Glass is one of my favourites. By the way, does someone have a live performance of Mountain?

The unfolding of a song is such a altering ex[erience. I have to disagree; American Doll Posse was an complex, and its concepts are working with stereotypes in a postmodernist way. I think there was a complex mysticism connecting the music, and it is interesting to note that NIN Year Zero came out in 07 as well and deals with similar themes. Listen to Smokey Joe, Girl Gisappearing, Father's Son, etc. It is mellifluous.
