Beautiful and that voice so awesome

seen emmylou last night at 77 years old she still sounds fantastic and still a beautiful lady 5/22/24

She can entertain a stadium full of people with just a microphone a guitar and a chair. No auto tune, No lip syncing no 10 piece band. Just God givin talent!

My old college friend and I were talking about this tonight and we were talking about pure voices: Joan Baez, Julie Felix, Judy Collins, Joni Mitchell. I mentioned Linda Ronstadt but her voice was in a different stratosphere. Emmy-Lou, though, her voice is so distinctive and so pure and she could stand there in a frock (sorry, dress) from Dotty P costing £10 and she would have all eyes on her.

I was in the studio as this was recorded........a pin was heard to drop.........SIMPLE QUALITY

And that, folks, is how it is done...You take the voice of an angel, who can harmonize with anyone, a top notch band and lyrics that mean something. I've listened to everything she has ever recorded since 1978. I've seen her in concert three times. She is magnificent in all ways, and, yes, guys, beautiful as well.

Recorded in 76 and almost 50 years later her voice is still as strong, pure and beautiful. She is such a gift to the music world. And then there are the trio albums!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Pure joy!

Beautiful singer. You just have to stop what you are doing and just listen to the lovely voice , lovely song, lovely harmony, lovely person singing, what a wonderful person Marylou Harris really is and what a great backing band she has. Wow, we played this very recent at my Daddys funeral. It is a love song yes we know. But, now my Daddy, my Mommy, my Grandpa & Grandma are together again. It was so beautiful. Praise the LORD ♡

Two of my favorite musicians on that stage, Emmylou and Rodney Crowell, I can never get tired of them. This song is a masterpiece, I have been lucky to see them together and solo❤❤❤❤❤ Thank you Emmy and Rodney, for introducing me to the music of Townes Van Zant!!!

I was born in East Germany. In 1984 I saw Emmylouy in the movie "The Band" for the first time. We had an summer night open air session at the university. Since than I love here and here songs. That's the real America.

Emmylou's voice comes from a place we all been, but can't completely recall.

Emmylou was easily one of the prettiest singers -- in voice and appearance -- of my generation. I was just a little kid when she became popular but I have grown to appreciate her more over the years.

She had a voice like an angel. We would sit with the lights down low and listen to this album. When it finished we'd just look at each other. no words need be said. Still affects me the same way today but now I have a video to watch along with it.

Today's most "country" singers should take a few minutes and listen to this beautiful song and the smoothness of the whole ensemble to learn what REAL Country is about. Thumbs up to beautiful Emmylou!

A lot of singers have covered this special song. I thing Emmy Lou brings out the most spirit with her style and pretty voice.

Same here. The way she softens each sentence of this song in almost a whisper, sents shivers down my spine every time. This is love in its deepest intensity.

I saw her once, and it was out of the cosmos. Somehow I ended up in a seat I didn't pay for, and I was the person in the audiencce that was closest to her. She was about 7 or 8 feet away from me, right on the edge of the stage. She is so beautiful and her voice is that of an angel. I never experienced anything like this in my life.

That's Rodney Crowell another very fine entertainer. Good music.

This is a fabulous version -- generally I prefer the studio versions, but this is an exception. It's slower and more heartfelt. Just amazing.

Underrated? 26 albums, 4 million sold. Played all over the world more than once. Hall of Fame. Performed with all the great Americana artists, Linda Ronstadt, Dolly, Lucinda and on and on. I think she has been well received for the last 45 years,

No doubt. She is in the firmament. Resonates through the soul. A young Albert Lee on guitar. He ended up in the firmament as well. 3 or 4 simple chord melodies where the voice takes you away for 2 minutes or so.

Such a beautiful voice

My Mom and Dad loved this song. I can remember them playing this all the time when I was young. My dad passed away November 17th and we laid him to rest with my mother. I'm playing this song in memory of them tonight. They had etched in their stone the words, " Together Forever", and I know they are now "Together Again".

Then and now a great and wonderful song.🙂👍
