Emmylou Harris (born April 2, 1947) is an American singer, songwriter and musician. She has released many popular albums and singles over the course of her career, and she has won 14 Grammys, the Polar Music Prize, and numerous other honors, including induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame. In 2018 she was presented the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
On 20 June 1977, she recorded a TV Special for AVRO's TopPop with her Hot Band consisting of:
Glen D. Hardin, piano
John Ware, drums
Albert Lee, lead guitar
Hank DeVito, pedal steel guitar
Rodney Crowell, guitar
Emory Gordy Jr, bass.
She played live songs from her recent albums 'Elite hotel' and 'Luxury liner' in the TopPop studios, Hilversum, The Netherlands
She had a big hit in 1977 with this '(You Never Can Tell) C'est La Vie'

What a band, have seen Albert Lee many times and you can tell by his patter between songs that he loved playing with Emmylou! brilliant!!
When real musicians get together to rock, its sounds just like this.

She is a true beauty and the fact she has one of the most beautiful voices ever heard isn't bad either.

Of course Emmylou is the star, and I have always admired Albert and Hank on this one, but I just watched it for the nth time and really appreciated John Ware on drums. Fantastic!

Dear god she's beautiful. I used to work at a public auditorium and almost literally bumped into her once at a sound check, mid 70's. I didn't recognize her but she almost knocked me off my feet, she was so BEAUTIFUL. Just off-the-charts gorgeous, stunning.

I tend to like the the old school stuff, but I have to mention one name: Billie Eilish, like her music or not but she's a talent beyond belief. An absolute kid genius and she doesn't perform half naked. Billie is next level.
I first saw Emmy Lou in 1974, when I was 18 (she was about 26 I think). This video is just what she looked like then. Then, and now, one of the most beautiful women to ever grace a stage anywhere.
