Steven Sharp ANTi fell off in sm4sh at the end and is now just about where he was then. He’s been doing pretty good but nowhere near the point of completely falling off

T lost 1 set and won 1 set against Tea? *perfectly balanced, as all things should be*

The "notable set counts" section is basically confirming that those players will appear on this PGR list. So for example it seems that Ryuga and Puppeh made it onto the PGR

@@bambyce There's a survey sent to top level players on a scale of 1-10 on how good they think are. The X-Factor is how many spots away from their position they thought they would be. A +5 ranking would mean top players thought that player should be ranked 5 spots better than their received PGR ranking.

It mostly says Japanese players get consistently extremely overrated abroad - this is also factoring in that out-of-US tourneys get a bonus.

Umeki deserve much better than this. Fatality Unfortunately had a very bad start so that placement makes sense, but i have faith in my dude, i wanna see him reaching the high peak he was able to reach in the last 2 years of Smash 4!

X-factor is merely other people's opinions of a player, while the PGRu is based on statistics. Nietono didn't travel to the states besides Genesis. Frozen went to multiple notable tournaments and placed just as consistently.

AcePlaysProductions id rather go with the people that actually play the games opinion then an algorithm of how good they are based on like 3 tournaments which can be extremely inaccurate at this stage of the game

He only had 3 PGR wins (spread out among his tournaments) and he only came to the states once, I think his ranking is fair. I was surprised he even made it on tbh.

Vantablack exactly. We all know T could be much higher if it was purely about skill and that‘s exactly what the X-Factor is for. But since T couldn‘t attend that much in the states and is also not as regular of a competitor in Japan as Umeki for example so this ranking makes perfect sense to me

@@geekmac9349 Actually T is very active at Toryumon which is a weekly tourney on Wednesdays in Tokyo . he ranked 7th at the second season for Toryumon . smashlog.games/10301 His ranks are currently very close to Tsu , Abadango and Umeki in Japan . And there are 5-6 more reg players that are close to this level from just this weekly tournament alone , while Ken being the dominant No.1 . Add Zackray , Kameme , Proto , and a bunch of other players who don't play at Toryumon , I think his ranks will fall somewhere between Top 15-30 in Japan alone . And when you add worldwide players to the list , his current rank does seem quite fair to me . However interestingly , most of his losses are against Snake players and Ken's Sonic . If only he overcomes his problem dealing with Snake , his ranks in Japan alone will go way higher . And this shows at Sumabato where he got 2nd place where he didn't have to deal with the Snakes that were giving him nightmares .

KA0S Lea, T, Abadango, umeki, Nietono, shuton protobanham (some others are ken, hikaru, Choco, edge , kirihara, who didn’t make pgr) and some who couldn’t play cause they helped develop the game are Ranai, Earth and 9b

Subjective ranking done by about 30 panelists. The plus and minus means where the panelists placed them. For example, Nietono's +20 means the panelists averaged Nietono out at 25th.

X-Factor honestly seems much more accurate than the actual list. Just compare Captain L stats to Suarez. Similar tournament placings, but L competes more and has better set count than Suarez. Just doesn't make sense really

Natural Instinct I might be very fucking wrong but my understanding is that “x factor” is where they would place basically if pgr was determined solely by the panels opinions on players rather than results.
