Dolomites are one of my favourite mountain areas, and the best way to discover them is HIKING!
In this video I'm giving you 3 advices about circular hikes (or round trips, loops, whatever..) to do in the Dolomites.
NOTE: you need to have experience with hiking to complete these trails.
The difficulty is increasing, the first one is relatively simple (but still 900m elevation gain which is no joke), the second one is intermediate and the third one is VERY HARD. I highly suggest you to split the itinerary in two days and stopping at one of the huts you find on the trail (booking required).
Croda da Lago Circuit:
Starting from the road from Cortina D'Ampezzo and Passo Giau (Ponte Ru Curto), you will follow the wonderful Val Formin till Forcella Rossa, then you will cross the Mondeval Plateau to reach Forcella Ambrizzola, Lago Federa, and back to the parking lot. Amazing views of Pelmo, Antelao, Tofane, Sorapis and Croda da Lago of course.
Tre Cime/Croda dei Toni:
Starting from Val Fiscalina (after Moso, Pustertal) you will turn right at rifugio fondovalle, and after a couple hours you will reach Rifugio Locatelli, in front of the spectacular Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Drei Zinnen). Then you will pass below Monte Paterno and will make it to Rifugio Pian di Cengia, then Rifugio Zsigmondy with an incredible view of Croda dei Toni, and then back to Val Fiscalina.
Monte Civetta Circuit:
Starting from Palafavera, Val di Zoldo, You will reach Malga Pioda and then Rifugio Coldai. You will turn left and follow the amazing Sentiero Tivan, with Civetta on your right and Val di Zoldo (amazing Pelmo) on the left. The trail goes up to Forcella delle Sasse, and then goes down till Rifugio Vazzoler. You will keep hiking around Civetta and you will make it to Rifugio Tissi. Spectacular spot to spend the night. Then following the Western face of civetta you will reach Lago Coldai and then finish the loop hiking back down to Palafavera.

@@BrunoPisaniAdventure Do you think the Monte Civetto circuit is safe / passable in about 2 weeks? I'm planning to hike on June 19th but concerned about snow. Do you recommend ice axe or microspices etc? Thanks and I love the video.
Grandissimo, sono contento di aver trovato un canale di un italiano che fa questa tipologia di video!
I did the 3 Cime loop last Wednesday, spectacular, tanta roba!! The Dolomites are amazing
Thank you for a truly spectacular trip through the Dolomites. Your routes (1 and 2) brought back memories of walks we have done over the years of visiting this wonderful area. More of this type of video, yes please!!
Really amazing video. I really appreciate you leaving the GPS-tracks so that we can follow your steps. Dolomites is such a magnificent place. We missed you, Bruno!! Keep them coming :)
The second trip I have done multiple times. It is really one of the most beautiful valleys imaginable. And it's good to know that you consider it intermediate. That gives me a better idea how these tours scale. And I can only recommend everybody who wants to see the Tre Cime, to use this tour instead of driving right to the base of them from the south. This way you get a very rewarding hike that is not as overcrowded as the trail from the south. And the third hike I did with my parents as a child in two legs, just as you suggested. I remember looking down from Riffugio Tissi to Alleghe and the lake. But that is about all I can remember. I was very young.
Always amazing content Bruno but this one is particularly useful, really appreciate the effort. Such a wonderful part of the world!
Excellent Bruno! Another style and another success from a talented guy. You share the love of your local playground so well. I can't wait to get back to the Dolomites and Slovenian Alps.
You're back! Love your photography as usual. Especially of the Dolomites, such an amazing place, so beautiful. Looking forward to more videos 🙂
As a Dolomiti lover, I can just say yes please do so more of these videos. Even if I already did the first two hikes, I still enjoyed the format of your video. Forza Bruno !
Welcome back Bruno, another great video ! Looking forward to more of your photography, videography, mountaineering and hiking content. I’ve been fortunate enough to visit this region of Val di Fassa (The Dolomites) a number of times, and this video just brings back many beautiful memories. Thank you 👍
The quality of this video is out of this world. Thanks a lot for uploading. I will try to complete all 3 of these hikes. They are all beautiful. Dolomites is definitely one of the most eye appeasing places in the Alps. You need more recognition for your stunning videos and great effort. Cheers from Hungary.🤞🏼😎
This is fantastic... very very very useful as it is produced in such a way its very easy to visualize the route. Fantastic project, well done Bruno!
This is very helpful in planning my trip this year, thanks! Cannot wait for those hikes 🖤

I just hiked the first two just a couple of days after watching this video. Great hikes and recommendations! I look forward to doing the third soon.
Great video Bruno! Absolutely love it!
Love the video. It is mind-blowing and inspiring. After finishing the Tour du Mont Blanc you inspired me to start walking in the Dolomites. The information you have added (GPX and parking area) is really useful. Thank you very much.
Ciao Bruno!!
Absolutely loved it. For me this is so useful to know hikes where you can do a loop as often when traveling, you hire a car and it's the easiest way to get to these places.

Wow this is awesome!!! 💛 your guide details are superb, thank you!!!!
Fantastic video, I loved it! Already done Croda da Lago (but in the opposite direction I think) and it was awesome! By the way, another useful thing to display would be the elevation profile, it's especially useful for novices to plan the hikes accordingly
great job man. appreciate your passion for the dolomites. I'm heading there next week and your video will be useful. thanks
Amazing video and inspiration! Cant wait to hike there!
Beautifully done and really useful information too. What an amazing place!
Dear Bruno, you and your beautiful channel inspired me and my wife to visit dolomites and to make the trail number 2. We made a big voyage coming from Lesvos island Greece. Thank you for sharing your experience from this amazing place. Keep going!

grazie Bruno, ci fai scoprire dei posti che la maggior parte di noi mortali ha difficoltà a percorrere
Wow amazing, this year I am missing mountains so badly.
Please do more Bruno. Especially some of the less technical ones but with good views for older hikers like me. Fantastico!
Loved the videos. Very helpful us in New Zealand when we come over for a visit next for biking and hiking.
You certainly do the best mountain hike videos I have found so far.
Yes, liked this video a lot! We are older but fit and love hiking. Covering easier hikes may not be your thing but we would appreciate it. Also knowing which towns to stay in, to access the best loop day hikes. Thx Bruno! Stay safe out therr
Thank you Bruno. It's really interesting and helpful for those like I that goin to have a tip to Dolomites.
Mate, absolutely loved this! please keep these videos up!!

Awesome video!! Great visuals, tips and mood!
Love this video! I can’t wait to visit…👌🏻
Love these tips, as I am looking to hike in all parts of Europe with spectacular view. I am a beginner hike for Europe trails, so will appreciate more of such tips.
Thanks Bruno, I already did the first 1 so now you have convinced me to do the other 2 hikes!! If the trek is more than one day, it would be useful to indicate if there are potable water sources along the hike (apart from rifugi, which sell water bottles) ! Great video and great format!
Merci beaucoup !!! Exactly the type of videos we like and hiking we will test !!!
This video is excellent - thank you for sharing this! I'm planning a trip to the Dolomites, and the trails you showed here are ones that we'll probably hike. :) Thanks again!
Amazing video - thank you so much! Very helpful for planning our trip👌💗🇨🇦
We had a wonderful week in Fanes National Park a few years ago and watching your videos just reminds me how wonderful the Dolomites are. Cant wait to return

Ammazza, che bellezza! 😍 Definitely on my bucket list!
Wow, amazing. Wish to hike those routes one day
Incredibly well produced, well thought out, well researched hiking video with absolutely spectacular footage. Well worth watching, certainly if you are going to the dolomites, but also just a beautiful video if you enjoy mountain scenery.
Grazie per avermi portato un po' lì con la mente, ci voleva proprio.
Loved it! I did the Roda de Putia this summer when I was in the Dolomites. Also a nice circular hike, I think, comparable to the first one you did
Really good video. Great information and beautiful presentation. Bravo.
Allo Bruno I decided to leave a comment on the very first video I watched, the first of MANY! Amazing images, I love the fact your filming is more largo between shots, and not staccato/quick change that can permit us to fully enjoy each frame (unlike so many others out there). For the last week I have been treadmilling in basement, and travelling the Dolomites thanks to you - have mentioned many times to my wife that our next European trip is to this spectacular part of the world. Peace brother, grazie amico mio - hiker from Montréal (Habs fan si? :)
Excellent, very interesting. It would be great to see more 👍👍
