ya you are right, thats pretty much the only thing that matters on these destroyers (besides their radar systems), and with that in mind, type 055 is the real king

The Zumwalt looks great, and obviously has some very advanced electronics and so forth...........but as a combat ship, it is seriously lacking in some areas. The Zumwalts are are not even combat ready........no wonder the US Navy has gone back to building the more capable Arleigh Burkes, as they are well proven Destroyers!

For Kolkata class destroyers the special attack is 16 vls launched Brahmos supersonic anti ship missile and Barak 8 are anti air defence . Please do some homework. Otherwise nice video.

@@mkgaming990 the same only a shorter range than the Soviet missile technology Moskou gave you. You would have done a more advanced version if you would have given it to your private sector companies. Now they are stuck with an overweight seventies design and the BrahMos A needs a completely rebuilt Su 30 MKI or it would not be able to carry it. Your Kolkata class is very vulnerable with all the seventies weapons and only the Barack 8 for modern self defense. It is basically a frigate with heavy ASM.

@@jacksonteller1337 Come on. Soviet era weapons recently Fu¢k€d Ukraine. Brahmos is always updated almost every year and recently, it's speed is increased to mach 4. A few days ago, a Brahmos was accidentally misfired and it landed 124 km deep inside Pakistan. Pakistan couldn't even detect it. Forget about intercepting it😂

Yeap I know that, same goes with the korean ship. But they differ aesthetically and internally though. The Japanese ship has an extra deck to provide command and control facilities, that’s why they look taller. The korean shops carry more missiles so I suppose that’s why they look chunkier.

@@ethanhammond6654 it's named as a frigate but it had the dimensions and armament of a destroyer. PLus, if you look on the hull of FREMM, you can see the indicative's number who starts by D, for "Destroyer".

The Horizon class looks like parts were forgotten and added after it was built.

Zumwalt may be impressive. If it lived up to the hype. But it’s still an abomination. It’s a giant monolithic brick bigger than a WWII battleship. And perhaps it’s cause I grew up on them, but nothing quite beats the aesthetic of old ships. Although I admit the Arleigh Burke class isn’t awful looking.

The Zumwalt was designed to replace battleships in the job of naval gunfire support, bombarding an enemy shoreline to help the Marines storm the beach. That's why they have two big guns, and why they are so big. The Navy also decided that armor is not as useful as stealth.

Ten ships, and no mention of missiles except for the Indian DD and the USS Zumwalt. ,

No mention of the Hobart class Destroyers in the RAN. Their planar array radar suite is better than the US and Japanese counterparts and has double the track pool capacity. Seems to have been overlooked.

I always seem to watch these... Who is the best country with best military / gear we are all going to root for our own country standard. I was in the British army for 8 years and during Iraq and Afgan tours and yes the equipment is vital but don't forget who mans these great weapons from tanks to subs to aircraft without the brave lads manning these machines they are useless. To me any man who serves or operates these machines is only as good as his training

I believe than there will never be any words that can truly thank the people who protect our country and our families!! I JUST FEEL SO BAD we as a nation build this equipment for them to use in the hopes it helps keep them alive while protecting us!!! AND SOME DUMBASS THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO TELEVISE THESE SHIPS EVERY TIME WE BUILD ONE!

Don't worry about the states, I'm pretty sure that our sailors are being vigorously trained on which bathroom to use.

I got to say Indian destroyer are unique in world. While world follow Arleigh Burke class which cause every destroyer on planet to be a derivative of it , Jack of all trades , India decided the other way. The Kolkata class and Vishakapatnam class are truly Anti Ship & Sub warfare. Looking at it's arsenal and design , I can say it was built to hunt down destroyers and subs. Basically a Terminator of Destroyer class

Well as any American Navy officer would know. Its not just the ship its the systems that can be brought to bear around under and over it that make the huge difference. Whether the powerful fast subs, the fleet aircraft, the land based bombers with racks of anti ship missiles, the reconaisance satellites that can track targets with pinpoint precision etc , thatt is what determines whether your pretty ship lives or dies a swift violent death.

Putting the zumwalt anywhere near top 10 is a joke, just like what the zumwalt became.

NATO classifies those as cruisers. Calling those destroyers is almost as silly as the Japanese calling their new aircraft carriers "destroyers".

Where is Russian UdaloyII class destroyer even its 90s destroyer but it had just been upgrade with moder wepones

the list is also geared towards direct attack only, some of the ships like the British daring class aren't direct attack destroyers, there air defence destroyers, and there the best in the world at it.

Don’t agree with your ranking. US labels 055 as a cruiser not destroyer, so should not be listed, you may list 052DL. Zumwalt is a 18000 tons big ship, if 055 is a cruiser, Zumwalt should be a battleship, either way it’s not a destroyer and wasn’t built to function like a destroyer and shouldn’t be included.

There will be three Zumwalt class destroyers in active service. While that's a LOT fewer than originally planned, it's not actually canceled.
