Welcome to my KZread channel Hairliciously. In this channel, I will be taking you on a journey of my FUE hair transplant progress. Towards the end of November 2016, I had a 1700 FUE hair transplant done in South Korea at Motion Clinic (en.motionclinic.kr) to lower my hairline and to fill in my receding temples. The FUE hair transplant procedure took me about 7-8 hours to complete and cost me approximately $5000 USD.

=======================================
Products I am using to supplement my FUE hair transplant:
1. Finasteride 1mg/day (generic brand for Propecia/Proscar) - Finasteride is approved by the FDA for male pattern baldness and is effective in slowing hair loss for men.
2. Biotin 10,000mcg/day - Biotin is effective in thickening hair, nails, and beautifying the skin. I've noticed thicker and stronger hair after using Biotin for the past few months.
3. Vitamin D 3,000IU/day - Vitamin D helps maintain a healthy body
4. Minoxidil (Rogaine) - Minoxidil slows hair loss progression and promotes hair regrowth. I've noticed that using Minoxidil helped me grow my transplanted hairs a lot more quicker.
5. Pumpkin Seed Oil 1000 mg
6. Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT)

    What is the concept of microneedling? I am seeking advice on how microneedling the scalp causes hair regrowth. I understand that by causing micro wounds to the scalp tissue, our bodies react by signalling more growth factors to the wounds. So far I haven't had any luck with microneedling and have tried multiple protocols. My hair loss is just getting worse and am paranoid that the microneedling has contributed to this. Until I have a conceptual understanding, I am reluctant to continue. So I have a few questions such as: Treatment frequency??? Is the aim to wound the follicles before fibrosis occurs (which would clogs the pores) but only once inflammation has subsided (how long is that?), or fibrosis shouldn't occur with the right needle length and we can needle once a month or so to play it safe. Needle length??? Are we looking to penetrate the entire epidermis layer or just enough to clean out the excess collagen/calcium. I know people have had great success using 1.5mm but also many haven't, maybe for some of us 1.5mm causes excessive inflammation and isn't required to just clean out the slight blockage at the top of the epidermis. In my experience I tend to believe those like myself who still have a lot of their hair; don't require anything more than 0.5mm, as this may cause fibrosis and/or excess inflammation to surrounding follicles which contain hair. I think over time the excess collagen/calcification gets out of control and by then most hairs have fallen out, so 1.5mm is required. This is only speculation and would love to read about your opinions/experiences.

    I have now being microneedling twice a week for almost a month. The results dont show much but I do see a lot more little hair growing. Microneedling twice a week. Started once a week, but with a laser helmlet every other day and a mascara of onion, coconut oit and aloa my scalp has been recuparating real fast. I also use a mixture of black castor oil with pepermint and rosebut oil to refresh my scalp twice a day. My goal is not really to regrow all my hair but to make my scalp as healthy and as strong as I can. And make my current hairs stronger and healthier so when I get the transplant at the end of the year my recuperation time will be faster . I want to try fenugreek seeds on my daily mask as I have read I will be amazing. I also use monoxidil whenever I can. The results I am seeing are better than I expected. I wish I would have done what I am now doing when I started to lose hair.😀

    @@alanbolton7803 ok. 40% black castor oil, 40% rosehip oil and 20 % peppermint oil. I put all 3 in a dropper and massage them into my scalp. The mask I take a about 5 table spoons of coconut oil , about a fist full of aloe raw sliced. cook it for about 3 min in very low heat (to get some of the aloa properties into the oil) Then take a fistfull of red onion and put everythiing in the blender (magic bulett) blend it a little to mix everything. Then apply massaging the scalp and leave for 30 min. The wash with a natural non chenical shampoo. I read all kinds of reviews of onion juice. Honestly I did not trust it; however i did notice that it cleansed my skin very well and that it made my hair darker. I love the oil and the mask because i feel it refreshing my skin. They make my skin recuperate real fast. So fast in fact that I am able to do 2 microneedling sesions in a week at 1.5 mm with a 36 pin needles with the A6 micropen. More than 1 5 mm in my case i start bleading a lot. So even I want I can not go higher at least now. I start bleeding at 1.6 with firm preasure. Also every other day i use the I-restore helmlet. I think the results are a combination of all. The microneedling opens up my skin and starts the process of collagen generation, The oils and the mask cleanses and gives nutrients to my skin and help it heal faster. And the laser cap helps also with the healing. A balance diet helps put all of these together. Like I said my goal is to make the hair that i already have stronger; and my scalp healthier so when I am ready for my transplant it can be sucess. About the transplant. I am doing it in Colombia because for once I will get the best Transplant dr. In the country, the aftercare is second to none requiring all sorts of test to make sure you will be ok, and also the Dr. Will do all the work not technitians like they do in the most practices. And also the price is about $6k for 3k graphs. Can beat that. Hope this helps😀 Should you need info on that i can always send it to you.

    some say the fewer needles results in less hairs getting tangled. My logic is that more needles create more wounding but I would use the 192 since they're actual individual needles vs. the 540 which isn't. As far as micro needling, same thing. I use the 36 pin needles instead of the 12.

    Your hair follicles are buried 1.5 mm to 2 mm inside your scalp. The needles need to be long enough to reach them. And if you'll notice, dermapen results tend to be much more dramatic than dermaroller progress. I guess that's because the dermapen is more efficient at doing its job of puncturing your skin sudden and hard. But if I were you I'd numb my scalp with lidocaine or something first.
