Wouldn't it have been easier to avoid sexual arousal which causes baldness and drives the growth of body hair than to do the transplant, which will fail since the underlying cause of the problem is not removed? Or is porn-watching and self-pleasuring just something too precious and tough to give up?

@@mentallyilldarkjeroid5378 I mean if you have to remove sex from your life just from the fear that you'll loose your hair, then whats the point of keeping hair if you'll stay away from girls or sex. Its a body's need and natural urge and suppressing is just delaying the inevitable. That is just not a solution. But yeah controlling it will definitely help.

Brett, thank you for disclosing and being transparent about the procedures so that someone like me who follows your advice on this channel. I have a friend that recently got back from Turkey for a second session of hair transplant. The first time he had it right before COVID and after a few months, his hair grew so naturally without any appearance of grafting. Also, he said many foreigners would simply fly into Turkey and the clinics are basically near or within the airport. I’ve been strongly considering going to Turkey maybe end of this year or early next year. However, I also heard that in Thailand with really good results too.

Transplant is only means putting new hair roots on top of your head. if u do not use minoxidil/finasteride/microneedling/essentialoils/etc. for post-process , means after the transplant and till the rest of your life, your natural falling process will continue as usual. If you happen to lose much hair on top again, generally it becomes to happen after 5-10 years than the transplant, you might need to consider a second transplant. @@User-zl9pj

I have it too and mine is pretty rough cause I have really thick hair naturally so the frizzyness is even worse. My transplant now is actually 2 years ago and I‘ve grown it out since. So I haven‘t cut the transplanted hairs once and I thought the frizzyness came from not cutting it. As I like to put my hair in a man bun I actually have to straighten the implanted hairs with an iron 😄 otherwise the top of my head will show mostly frizzier hair than the sides and the back and thats kinda weird 😄 I still hope it gets better once I start cutting my hair or at least the ends.

I have done hair transplants in the past. I was thinning and it bothered me a lot. These transplants made a huge difference and I am so glad I did it. Unfortunately, it was really expensive as I did these here in the US. However, it was worth it and I would do it again. I know about pricing in Turkey. For a big hair job, it should be somewhere between $2k and $4K. But $4k would be a maximum at a highly reputable place, including room and board. The same procedure in the US would be anywhere between $12K and $16K. I think if someone is willing to travel, they can save a lot of money. I have been to Istanbul many times and it is a pretty nice place and I have never felt unsafe there. Anyone doing this abroad should do all their research before deciding, of course.

All of these turkey hair transplant before and afters look the same to me. I suspect they want to use TONS of grafts for the hairline like in this case so they can get super impressive before and afters with very dense hairlines and attract clients. Any transplant doctor can achieve this with tons of grafts. Usually you can only do 4-6k grafts lifetime per scalp....so as you will continue to lose more hair as you age you will want to do more treatments and youll be left with very little left for the rest although you have good density in the front. He had basically no thinning and only recession on the temples....wanting to use so any grafts for that is such a waste IMO. I would have guessed 12-1500. Even the chart he showed was estimated at a lot less than 2400 grafts for Norwood 2-2a temples which is what he had.The way the hairs are placed and staggered towards the front of the hairline are also placed so poorly and it makes it obvious he had a hair transplant. Will gladly pay 3x more and not deal with these problems because they can be avoided.

Hey Brett, been following your journey for a long time and so glad that you're happy with your results. I've personally been on oral minoxidil 5mg and oral finasteride 1mg for about 14 months now and have seen great progress in my hairline, top, and crown. Still thinking about a transplant at some point to fill in a bit more. I will say I think it's very important you get on finasteride just to keep all of your progress and hard work. I'm a healthy 31yo male and I personally have experienced 0 side effects, and even on the low chance you do experience some, you can just get off the finasteride and those side effects should subside within a week. Hope this helps in your decision since you are still on the fence about it! Cheers,

You should seriously look into the dangers of oral minoxidil and maybe consider topical. Unlike oral fin, the amount of minoxidil from topical that's absorbed systemically is very low and thus so are the side effects

I don't get why they always create these super harsh, perfect semi-circular hairlines. I don't think I have ever seen a person with that kinda hairline occuring naturally. Might just be a thing for clinics in Turkey though. I've seen clinics in Spain which strive for more natural hairline shapes. But if you plan on wearing your hair long and covering most of your hairline anyway I guess that's fine too. For a buzz cut I actually think your receding hairline looked more attractive. Had a more mature, masculine touch to it.

I think it's more the overall service, the hotel, the consultation, all the little extra things. Also in the video, he did say a few things he didn't like about the surgery, so we know he's being somewhat honest. And top of that this is like his 3rd video of his surgery, if they did pay him to maje the video, it would (I assume) only be the first video after the surgery, so basically he is free to say whatever he wants, he probably didn't even have to make a third video.

I can almost always tell when someone has had a hair transplant. Your results are extremely good with long hair. It's hard to say if they'd be as good if you cut your hair short. I can only tell you've had a transplant when you pull your hair back. But...I doubt that most people could tell at all. I waited way too long for a transplant and my donor hair is thin so my transplant results would be a nightmare. As much as I despise losing my hair, I know that a bad hair transplant is FAR worse than just owning it and going bald. Congrats on your results.

I wouldn't do a hair transpalant at your clinic, man. They did it too dense and I have a theory that they did it just to make sure it looks good as it was a partnership. Also, a reputable clinic has a surgeon doing the implanting and assistants doing the sorting and counting of the hairs when the doc is doing the extracting. Your doctor should be a member of the ISHRS preferably. Aside from being a member of the ISHRS , my doctor is the chairman of the Polish Hair Restoration Assosiation, and for very similar hairline he recommended doing 1200-1600 grafts.

Great results, just two things I thought id mention : 1. Minoxidil does not inhibit blood flow, it promotes blood blow to the scalp, its a vasodilator originally used to lower BP but with the blood flow effect it caused hair growth. 2. Without a DHT blocker like finasteride you will continue to lose hair, Minoxidil does not stop hair loss it can only delay it. Also Post Finasteride syndrome has been completely debunked, it does not exist. But things like Gyno are definitely a risk while on the medication. Id say pick your poison Balding or possible man boobs. Bare in mind the incidence of side affects are very low. otherwise congrats, looks great.

You don’t always need to take finasteride. It depends on your pattern of hairloss and family history. I’ll give an example. If you only have temporal recession and that’s common in your history, you can just get a transplant to fill it in and not need finasteride because you won’t experience anymore hairball anywhere else. If you are a diffuse thinner, then that is different because it’s much harder to fill that up with transplants well. Let’s say maybe 5 years after your transplant you see your crown start to thin, consult your doctor and maybe then you can start on medication.

Brett, just fyi finasteride is more so retaining your current hair (reduces DHT in the scalp by 70%) and the side effects affect less than 2% of users and if you stop taking it after, the side effects stop, minox is more about increasing the hair growth rate of your hair, I've been on fin for a little less than 6 months now and my hairline is coming back slowly and definitely it has stopped receding at least for now, I don't like minox because you have to stay on it for life for it to have any effect. So if I were you I'd still consider it (start with 1 milligram, if that bothers you, then drop to .75, I would be shocked if that was the case but you can always try reducing)

You have to be on finasteride for life too. Why not also use minoxidil?

“The side effects stop” I’d suggest googling post finasteride syndrome.
