I really dont like it though, its so cliche. “Frieza has transformed and it looks like our hero is going to lose, but once all hope is lost, his friend died, which unleashes his rage and defeats frieza”. I personally love DBS: Broly and Fusion Reborn because Gogeta opposes all ‘anime hero’ cliche’s while staying badass. Same with Vegito.

Ibrahime Camara Bro, you must be high hahahaha. Sting was trying his hardest yet Natsu one punched him without going serious and Sting and them were supposed to be tough due to dragon force. It was kind of epic but it was not as epic of climactic as the battles mentioned in the vdeos. Every dragon ball fight has the fate of the world on the line and they do die so the enemy is credible yet in Fairy tail, sting did not even hurt Natsu or anyone. Lol, does that make sense?

Of course DBZ was #1 it was the greatest ever. Yall just hatin, like seriously the show was from 1989-1996 an yall steady comparing it to shows that was made in the past 5 years an technology is alot better. And p.s everybody loves this show not all animes gotta be serious like who doesnt like a goofy worrior who is the stronges in the univers who shows compassion to everybody good or evil. Goku will forever be in our hearts as the greatest protagonist in anime and dot lie.

Why is DBZ even on this list? I mean if you've seen one battle you've seen the show entirely. Blonde people screaming until they break their limits and become even more jocked. Then a new enemy appears and they have to scream even harder! Then a new enemy appears and they have to scream and flex until their hair grows to the point of being goddamn Rapunzel! Kakorot Skywalker Majin vegeta against goku dbz

The nº1 should have been Goku vs Freeza. I mean, think about it. This was the fight where SUPER SAIYANS WHERE BORN into this world. Every anime fan life for generations to come changed in this precise moment. I would even say that Goku transformation into Super Saiyan is a top candidate to the most memorable moment IN ALL ANIME HISTOY. You can't beat that. You just can't. Plus, Freeza is DBZ ultimate villain according to Saiyans background. It beats Vegeta vs Goku anyday. PS: Can't wait for April to see the have another go in the new movie Revival of F.

But it was this one fight that killed DBZ for me. I was bored by the time it concluded. Too much dang filler! If he hadn't said "Five minutes" then I wouldn't mind as much, but I got so bored with DBZ that I quit after the Frieza saga. Frieza killed DBZ, Garlic Jr. buried it and pissed on it.

***** Only americans complain about Fillers. I don't know what's wrong with you guys and your culture but everything that takes time to build and develop is too much for your inexistent patience. Across the entire world no one complains about fillers except for US people. Fillers were a great way to build tension and create climax. And that's why DB Kai sucks ass.

Because most of the time filler is stuff that could be cut out all together and not make an impact on the plot itself. If the filler is not relevant to the plot, then it should be removed. And having a climax more drawn out in a movie is one thing, but it doesn't work as well in a series. An entire season fighting ONE guy? That's way too much. To add insult to injury, he says "5 minutes", and drags on for about another 10 episodes. And even worse, Trunks kills Mecha Frieza in less than an ACTUAL 5 minutes, just slapping us in the face. I think Optimus Primal puts it best in Beast Wars. Megatron: Oh, well, come on, let's have it. The usual "Destiny" and "honor" speech. Optimus: Speech THIS. *punches megatron in the face* As much as I love over the top fight scenes that are longer than they should be, DBZ took it way too far, and that's the reason I can't enjoy it as much as others like G Gundam, Gurren Lagaan, or Speed Racer.

***** Like i said, fillers are part of what make DBZ so intense. US viewers fail to see this because they are not used to it in either their animations or movie industry. Anime is like this. Saint Saiya had Fillers and endless flashbacks during fights that took entire episodes, Captain Tsubasa had TONS of fillers and players took one episode to take the ball from one goal to the other. NO ONE EVER COMPLAINS about it except US viewers. Fillers are awsome and provide a way to build up the intensity towards climax. That's how anime is. If you don't like it don't watch it.

Some of the best anime I've ever seen had way more intense action and far less filler than DBZ. If it were the manga, it would be different, but filler here is WAY over done. There's a difference in building tension, and doing nothing. most of the frieza saga was lots of build up without an overly satisfying payoff. More than that, DBZ becomes the same thing over and over. Basic rundown of sagas from Vegeta to Frieza Goku's not here. We have 3 or 4 guys. Ok, one guy either dies or is really badly hurt and can't fight. Oh no! Krillin died! AGAIN! (i know he survived the Vegeta and Garlic Jr. sagas, but he got killed by Frieza twice, and then dies again later, not to mention he died in Dragon Ball.) We're gaining the upper hand. Nope, they were holding back. Goku finally arrives. he turns the tide. Enemy stops holding back. Goku pulls some trick out of his ass that seems to work. Doesn't entirely work. Bad guy still has some fight in him. Battle FINALLY ends, bad guy and goku are dead, missing, or badly hurt. Garlic Jr., same basic thing except Goku didn't show up. It got so boring and pointless that I couldn't even finish it. This anime does NOT deserve all the hype it gets. The classic Dragon Ball was better than this.

Number 9 was one I knew would happen. After I heard in episode 8 of season 1 that you had to kill your fellow students was something I really wanted to see!

Ichigo vs Kenpachi? because he didnt even use bankai or hollow mask that should be!!

Fun fact if this list was voted on by Japanese viewers there'd be 3 or 4 One Piece fights on there instead of maybe dbz or naruto. One Piece is literally everywhere in Japan. It is life.

yes, i live in japan. one piece is everywhere...annoyingly so. i did not like one piece as well. the characters are too long and skinny and the girls have massive round boobs. I like happy energetic characters but the main character was WAY to much, kinda annoying

gusstrife2 I just got back from from Japan over the summer :D Yea, the female characters are shaped really strangely, like those dramatizations of life-sized barbie dolls. pencil thin waist and boobs 3x the size of their head. Just gross :s

A better title would have been "Top 10 Battles from Naruto and DragonBall Z"

I think the fights between Suzaku and Kallen from Code Geass should have been on this list. Their fight goes on from the beginning to the end of the series, and we get to see how these characters grow as the show goes on to the point where we don't know who we want to win.
