Tonkatsu Delights in Zushi | Kanawaga Prefecture
I've been wanting to try this tonkatsu restaurant for 2 years and it was up to its reputation 😃
The chef deep fries the food at low temperature here. It's a 2 times process: he deep fries the meat first at 100 degrees Celcius and then at 140 degrees. He has to let the meat rest in between so it takes about half an hour to get the food once ordered!
There's usually a long queue to eat there but it's worth the wait :-)

I used to love tonkatsu when I lived in Japan. These days no tonkatsu--no deep fried food of any kind. But have fond memories.
