Tom Stoltman Highlights - World's Strongest Man 2021?

Спорт

Watch The Albatross destroy the events at World's Strongest Man 2020, winning 3 out of 5 in the final and missing the top spot by just a few points. 2021 will be his year.

He will be one of the greatest in history. Since I saw him and Luke make it in 2019 I knew they'd be doing big things. 5x WSM is 100% in Tom's potential, and honestly even more.

Those at the Arnold Classic think otherwise. His EGO makes him think that he can win just by showing up. His WSM win was against the weakest field in at least 30 years of the sport. The first time he went up against the best, he folded, he quit. Tom Quitman 2022.

He needs to pack on size for Arnolds, but for WSM I think he had that perfect mix of bodyweight and athleticism. There's a reason Brian Shaw trimmed down and pushed Tom hard for that title. Tom doesn't need to change a thing yet, get another WSM or two and then start thinking about packing on size for the Arnolds. That's the future of strongman, yoyo dieting.

Why? Static strength is so one dimensional. Who cares if someone can lift half a tonne if they have no mobility to fight. Or no endurance to get around without getting out of breath. If you're car is stuck in a ditch, who's going to be of more help to you? The squat lift record holder or one of these monsters from WSM? They specialize in lifting and pushing around awkward objects. In the real world you might not have time to set up and hold tight before expressing strength. That's the point of the worlds strongest man competition. To see who can express that strength in a wider variety of ways than just powerlifting.

@@mathewstovell5167 "Who cares if someone can lift half a tonn if they don't have the mobility to fight"? 😂😂😂 Emm, a lot of people care because it's Strongman, not mixed martial arts or boxing. You didn't get my point, sir, the WSM these last 2 years has gotten much lighter and with much lower weights and the tests are no longer focused on seeing who is the strongest, but who is the fastest, the Arnold Classic Strongman is the competition that really determines who is the strongest man in the world because it's the heaviest and toughest Strongman event of the year, any Arnold competitor could lift your car like child's play.

Like the Arnold classic has been around since the 1980s - though it might not have had strongman competitions at that time. I liked the introduction of "Conans' wheel" a few years ago - to the strongman events. Your earlier comment about how it should be called "fastest strongman", did not make it clear that you were comparing WSM "V" Arnold classic", and could have easily been used to suggest "Strongman" in general versus powerlifting.
