Tom Cruise gives a thumbs-up as he sits in his private plane with the cockpit open

Ойын-сауық

Suave Tom Cruise, 60, gives thumbs up as he takes the private plane from Top Gun: Maverick for a spin in Florida. Tom, 60, was seen guiding his aircraft out of Naples Airport in Florida. He was in control of his own P-51 Mustang.
The fighter bombers were used during World War Two, although Tom’s is believed to have been built in 1946. The actor used the plane in last year’s hit movie Top Gun: Maverick. #tomcruise #topgun

The plane was built in 1944 as designated by a “4” being the first digit in its serial number on the tail. It’s actually an F6K model which is a photo reconnaissance version of the P51 and less than 200 of these variants were built. Built in Dallas, Tx. Tom has owned it since about 2001

With Mission Impossible, he learned how to fly helicopters in 3 months to get his license, just so he can film that scene with him literally hanging and then hijacking the AS350 in mid air. He flew stunts that even most veteran pilots would never even attempt. People can say what they want about Cruise, but that man is DEDICATED and also has a genuine love for aviation.

One of the advantages of money is that you can support almost any hobby you can think of, covering investment, education, training, Infrastructure, Maintenance, etc. i.e. photography - equipment and training, travel; marksmanship - menberships, firearms, ammunition, etc. But, Cruise is one of the people who has 'earned his money'. That's the most satisfying way.

T.C. prides himself on being the real deal, i give him kudos on that.

Strada is absolutely correct. The P-51 Mustang served as a 'fighter escort' over Germany, The all black army airforce unit 'Red-Tails' saved many american bomber and there crews over Germany in 1944-1945. They would drop their belly or wing flue tanks when the enemy showed up and have a real go at itl. Certainly not a movie stunt or recreational flying!
