Nice. I'm headed there end of this year. Can one find Ramune in vending machines similar to the ones you showed?

Do a midnight (or later) zombie hunting run! Find as many and the most unusual position you find the zombies! 😱🙈
This channel is seriously underrated. Best thing to watch when I have insomnia!
This is in the top channels on KZread. Classy, educational, great humor! When John says “you should learn something from these videos” we agree! Thank you! No vulgarity or topics unable to share with kids!
Tokyo at night is like a science fiction video game/movie. Like going to the future.

These live streaming video's really scratch that Japanese itch! I watched all of your videos before I visited and they were such a huge help. Now that I am home from my trip, your videos help me re-live my great memories of my trip. You are very lucky to live in such a great country! Thanks for the great videos!

That Eco cycle gave me an extra life! Nice. 🍻🌏🛴🛵
Great video. I worked in shimbashi for a while. Interesting and fun place.
Do a main channel episode on the Eco Bike! That’s the coolest thing
You are the best man i like the vibe of your video cheers
John this stream was the very first time I watched a live stream of Only in Japan. it was all new to me at 68 now almost 4 years later will turn 72 the same day as Leo celebrates his birthday on March 14th 2023 looking back is really amazing being the very first time I watched a You Tube live stream and was Only in Japan live
Love all your streams but the night tours are special. I will be there in one week so I am starting to get excited. I will be staying near Tokyo station so will definitely replicate this walk one night. Mark. Hobart, Tasmania.
Loved this episode, love to see Tokyo at night
Hey Jon, I enjoyed your shows. Saw a couple of Tokyo eye episodes. The last 3 times I stayed in Tokyo was in Shimbashi. Thanks for all the tips. I’m from Hawaii and go japan quite often. Keep the video coming. Thank you Aloha. Jared

been to Japan twice in the recently .. This brings back memories .. In the Gion district of Kyoto i wandered into on of those old time bar/restaurants with an ancient matriarch at the helm and enjoyed myself thoroughly ..

Woah!!! Can we please get an updated video on those crazy cool bike rack thinks!!!???🤓🤓🤓🤓
Awesome! ✌️
We need a main channel episode on the bike lifts!
Hey John, I love these midnight snack runs. Also that bicycle thing by the rent a cop. Very interesting. Never seen anything like that. It seems like Tokyo is way ahead into the future and the States is just lagging behind. LMAO. Anyway always good to see you. Take care from Bethlehem Pa.
We’ve been there 6 years ago, I can’t remember the Chinese resto we went, but I can’t forget how delicious the food we ate there. I wish I had the picture so I can recommend it to many travellers
Great idea! You need to raise the bar. You did it! Now I’m more interested in your go vids. And you have more respect from many, many people! T y!
watching from Yokota AB... just arrived here August 4... hope to see you in person with Kanai and your baby

Shinbashi is such an interesting and lively place
Literally my favorite youtuber/content creator: Topics Yakuza, non Japanese asians in Japan, major game company visit, blue mountain coffee, blue collar industry for foreigners in Japan any would be awesome. Oh, North to southernest point bike and side kart with PVG!
This was an awesome stream! Had been waiting for it. Although u didn't have enough snacks, hope u ate something off camera or at home with Kanae ofc ^^~ Looking forward for more John 😄
wow superb
I'm watching from Arizona
they never get old noticed this stream said 3 years ago when it streamed originally where actually it's like a time capsule on how much things have changed or have stayed the same, it's great to see how different it may be after 3 years.
😂 kinda tipsy was me last night at 1 am. 🍻 Glad you keep streams up I miss them sometimes.
I would love to c the menu of McDonlds just to c whats different to ours. I like Shinbashi. Love the night run...To eat outside is nice. Like to c John eating at a restaurant one day in one of those cosy lanes seated. Day or night..
Hey John glad you see you! I've heard in another channel that the birth rate in Japan is dropping drastically to 580,000 per year, and the rural villages are dying that's really sad, I hope someday I travel there and met people, best wishes on your next trip! We love you! 💞
Yay I was the 1000th like and it was well deserved I'm sorry I missed it live but my phonedoesn't like notifying me lately hopefully I'll catch the next one keep up the good work

I loved the street food vendors in Hiroshima
Fun live stream! Gotta check out Shinbashi on a Friday night! How is Azabu juban at night?
Touch No Me is great
I unpacked my travel wallet when I got home from Japan and found a 10,000 yen note in a hidden part of it! All those extra conbini egg sando’s I could have bought! 😭
So much food to eat at night
Halloween stuff has been sale for weeks here in California too.
i love your "senbero" series. Senbero means "sen-en de beron-beron ni yopparau" i.e. getting happily drunk at 1,000 yen ($10).
I love shinbashi. We stayed nearby at Hamamatsucho. Went to Ichiran there. There’s lots of seedy guys trying to get you into their nightclub brothels!
@onlyinjapanGO
4 жыл бұрын
Not as seedy as Kabukicho, Shinjuku or Roppongi ;) but they’re harmless.
i missed it!
You remind me of Jeff Goldblum. Quite a lot, actually. 💜😉
Asakusabashi has some nice shops late at night.
Japan is so beautiful. It reminds me of Germany when I was stationed there. It was a culture shock to see people peeing in public at night in Frankfurt. The trains in Germany were really expensive as well.
I would love to see you in kamata or omori, where I'm familiar with. Only problem is that you would be running for that last Keihin tohoku or Keihin kyuko train back to central tokyo.
Amsterdam has some outdoor bathrooms like that, it's not a urinal you just piss on the street basically in this stall
🤠👍🏼👍🏼Lol yeeeee-haw
I am American but born and lived in Japan in the 60's..mom is Japanese from Kyushu
When I was stationed in Japan back 1980 there use to be beer garden on top of buildings is that still happening

Jim Hahn Jim, YES!!! That still happens!! I should do a live stream up there before the retire for the summer. There are A LOT MORE now than back then but some ask for one price for sets menus. The food though is never really good but the beer - is cold 🍺
Hey buddy .. I wanted to go to shinbashi now . What was the time you were there?
Shimbashii eki is near to my work place way back year 1994. Natsukashii na
Hope you will do a live stream in Shibuya Stream sometimes. ☺️
Sir John can you visit Suga Shrine in Tokyo ? Your Name Movie Location thank you. I like your every Midnight tour
Can you go to that place under the bridge where street racers gather?
Hi John, what was the local time when the live stream started? It didn't seem like midnight. LOVE the vibrancy of the city and its inviting alleys.

Is this more of an older part of Tokyo? Has a 70s vibe to me.
Do you ever rewatch your live streams to see what happens behind you? It's quite humorous to see the reactions that you miss!

lifesamitch it really - sometimes but when viewers point something out, I rewatch bits :) I can only imagine what’s going on BEHIND ME! I catch some of it from comments in the live chat 😂
Aloha John! Is there anything to do in Ryogoku during the Sumo Tournament? I'll be there next week and just wondering what we will do in the evening. Do we have to go elsewhere or is there any night life or similar izakayas or ramen shops in Ryogoku? Thanks and really enjoy your channels! I'm a friend of PhotoLuke...just letting you know in case I get extra points for that! Lol! Kanpai, mahalo! C*

chris w aloha! Ryogoku to me is more of a suburban town where a lot of people live but not far away in Okachimachi and Ueno, it’s pretty vibrant at night on the street. There are some nice places to go out in Ryogoku too. Ah, Photoluke :) got to Met Austin last time. He’ll probably be a lot bigger when we meet again!
