In case you still don't know... yes. In real life, Jeff Hyslop is a talented Dancer, but Jeff the character... When he was first brought to life, at first he could only move about, Waldo then atempted to cast a spell on Jeff to make him smart sould he could talk, readm write, and learn, but the first time, Waldo missed Jeff's head, bounced along the wall and floor and hit his legs... that's what gave him his dance skills

Well there is one TV screen of sorts - TXL, but you're right, there was no TV shown in the department store, but it had just about everything else. ;)

Jeff was brought to life because of Waldo's magic spell on the hat Jeff wears but otherwise you are lead to believe that Jeff's talent is all his own.

@JennyU24 When the origional spell: Hit his head and make him smart, the wand cast on him rebounded to his feet. Muffy asks what smart feet can do- and he shows them. (Flash back episode or Our Story )

@sygo7g I think the closest I saw was a Mervyn's many, many years ago. My favorite stuffed rabbit (which is more than 20 years old and still looks good to this day) is from their little toy store. They also had a small toy shop at Foley's. Both stores though are sadly gone now - those getting removed long before the stores actually closed. The Foley's also had a small sandwich shop for a while, and I think briefly a play area. A few children's stores also had that. Ah... memories, shown here.

@kachinababe Interesting you mentioned this as Nerene Virgin (Jodie) actually did seek political office in the federal riding of Hamilton Mountain but she actually was racially slurred out of the running. Seems Nerene has had a rather interesting life if you look her up on Wikipedia. She'll always be remembered by me as Jodie though. Wonderful lady too and I admire her very much.

I used to remember when Sears stores used to have a candy shop in them, complete with people in the old candy-stripped uniforms serving samples and taking candy out of the bulk to bag and weigh. ;) But, it's good to know others remember those days, and can mention it. But I agree though given the possibilities they could've done with the show, they could've possibly had Jeff dancing in front of a camera and have him turn around and see himself dancing as well as a joke.
