Anyone remember a movie that also aired on Nickelodeon around this time. There were some British kids, and one of them had visions of the future after eating special candy. One scene I remember he went into a trance and said "I'll be in trouble, I don't know why. I'll write my message in the sky"

Loved this show and Math Patrol as a kid. Derek McGrath in Matchmakers was classic. The thing that was cool was that they showed simple ways to use math that all of us would end up using when we were in grades 7. 8, though high school, and throughout the rest of our lives… and it was geared towards kids. TVO never underestimated what kids could grasp. They gave us the tools to approach learning through interest, imagination, and creativity.

I had a faint memory of this show when it was still being broadcast and I always wondered what it was. I have searched for over 20 years to find it. I just found it today and now my search is complete! 38 Years old and now I finally can show my children! Thank you for posting this!

Since there were a few other episodes after this episode, it's too bad Mr. Crummington wasn't on those episodes also where it shows him being more kinder and not ordering around especially after they showed a good job for Bleep to him, and after he said to everyone "I like all of you and I'm sorry for being very arrogant, all I wanted was to make sure I do a good job while being employed in this store since I'm on probation for a few months."

Very sporting of the set dresser to display Sesame Street toys in the department. But with this show Canadian and Sesame Street American, I guess they were more cousins than rivals.

I loved this when I was a kid. I've always been disappointed that this never went further than this pilot movie. Also Les Lye was really good in this, for someone like him who's known for being a comic actor and performer, he pulled this role off that was more serious despite having some campy moments really well. I always wondered where they would go after Alasdair said, "What if it isn't our Earth. "
