Hey Billy. Gene Autrey and Roy Rogers were screen cowboys who both also had TV shows. Roy was "The king of the Cowboys". Both Roy and Gene were singing cowboys who had recording careers as well and sang in their movies and TV series. They both had a series of sidekicks with names like Frog, Jingles, Windy etc. That's what Toby was referring to with the funny named sidekicks. They both had famous horses as well Gene rode a horse named Champion or Champ. Roy's horse was Trigger and his German Shepard dog was Bullet. Roy's wife Dale Evans was an actress who did a number of movies of all kinds. She did a few with Roy and was a regular cast member on the TV show. Her horse was Buttermilk. Oh and for several years Gene Autrey was the owner of the Los Angeles Angels baseball team. Gene also had big holiday hits with his recordings of Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, Santa Claus is coming to town and Here comes Santa Claus which he wrote.

It is truly entertaining watching you react to videos that came out when I was a kid or teenager. Just so you know, this was Toby Keith's first number one single. It was recorded in 1992 and released in 1993. I was 6 years old when this came out. I have a good memory of when I was younger and I remember watching this video on tv. And I grew up on Southern Gospel and Country music since Im a Southern born Southern bred Southern bonidide belle from Alabama. I enjoyed other genre of music and I am a singer and musician and took ballet, jazz and tap classes and was also in theater. But my greatest passion was music and I think 90's country sounded the best. There is some good country music out there today. But back then we had legendary artists like Reba McEntire, Brooks and Dunn, Garth Brooks, Toby Keith, George Straight, Clint Black, Tim McGraw in his prime, and some of my family is in the music buisness. And my cousin happens to be good friends wirh legendary country music singer Hank Williams Jr. They live nearby one another. They hang out often and play music or go golfing. Hank is a good ol laid back country boy and friend of my familys. I have other famous kin. Not only was my grandfatherand great grandmother singers and musicians and song writers and long after they have passed on are still getting royalities for their music. But I am also kin to the late actor James Stewart. He was in ALOT of movies. You know him best from movies like The Shop Around The Corner and Its A Wonderful Life. Im also kin to Emily Dickenson. I truly have an extraordinary family. Just so you know, Toby Keith, Travis Tritt and Shania Twain toured together as well back then. You can tell by Tobys hair style in this music video and the mullet he is rocking that it was early 90's. Even the eldest boy in Home Improvement the tv show had a mullet and so did some boys back then. Ellen DeGenerous had a mullet too. LOL! My dad had a rat tail pony tail and he still has it! Billy Ray Cyrus was rocking out his 90's hairstyle in his achey breaky heart music video. That was very popular back in the day. However now its just hilarious to watch. LOL! His daughter Miley Cyrus always got super embaressed about her dads mullets and rat tail hair. LOL! I was born in the 80's. So long big hair was on alot of both men and women. And it followed people and their kids into the early 90's. LOL! My hair was always very long all the way down to either my hips or thighs. And it was beautiful thick and curly. I got alot of compliments for it. Soketimes I cut it a little short a little past midway of my back. And my mother owned a salon and she often did my hair for me. I looked like an extra for one of those 80's teens movies like Teen Witch with the big puffy curly long rock star hair. LOL! Also look up Geme Autry and Roy Rogers. They were famous cowboys in westerns.

most western gunfights did not happen the way they show in the movies, they didn't meet in the street at noon. The only 1 time that I know of that this happened involved wild bill Hickok and it was at a distance of 75 yards with cap and ball revolvers, the other guy fired first but missed Hickok took just an extra moment to aim and hit the guy in the chest 75 yards with a cap and ball !!!
