I have found in my long life (I am 73), that up to 50% percent of your decisions will turn out to be the wrong one for you. Usually because you think you have all of the data, but you don't. Life is like endlessly flipping a coin. _ *Strategy.* The most important step is to start confidently in some general direction and then experience will reveal all. The best strategy is to try not to do anything that will make your situation worse if it turns out to be the wrong decision. For example use screws instead of nails. You can always unscrew something. On the other hand, "Nails" could be a nightmare to remove from your life.
Stick built would be an appreciating asset. I have found getting a loan on a standard home is easier too.

Not going into debt
I personally would wait the 4-6 months for the stick build. You'll hopefully keep your value and perhaps even sell for more.🙏 Its a difficult decision and I'll respect what ever you decide.💖

She already sold it!
If your aim is still to have something "good" to leave to your kids, do stick built!
Go with at least one bedroom. Most people really want a bedroom if you feel you will eventually sell. I'm on your team.. tiny is where it's at.

Yes! One bedroom Mobile home. Then you make it yours
My husband says sb I say mh. Linda since you will be traveling back & forth why not continue with suv & clam ? It’s still your piece of dirt 🫠 What ever you decide I have faith you will make the right choice. J n J 😘💞❣️💕
Linda My friends in real estate have always told me stick built custom home will be stronger, easier to insure, increase in value and is easier to sell and finance. Your home will be your castle. You have done this before so you know what you like that worked for you. You have furnishings and Know what will fit. Sticks and bricks are always more welcomed by zoning boards than mobiles and park models.

Well @jeanie, with all that is happening in the world these days, when the insurance don't want to be responsible for their obligations....how good that will be accomplished? I think you might not get the point here.
@jeanieirwin4747

If you think I missed the point....specifically what is the point that you think I missed? I live in Florida so clearly insurance is a train wreck here. I don't know what you meant about what's going on in the world today? Specifically?
Beware of hurricane season. Contractors are hard to get after one hits in the area.
Do what you're comfortable with although, if you do mention the state, a state is a large area so I doubt identifying the state would allow anyone to find your exact location. Excited for you!
Hi Linda, just wanted to let you know how valuable your information is for someone like myself. I feel that you would go with sticks and bricks just for protection from bad weather.

My exact thoughts a mobile home with all them trees around it not a good idea now we know the right storm it'll take anything but it doesn't have to be a bad storm to mess with a mobile home
My vote is stick built if the $$ pencils out. Better value over time, customizable and more materials selection. Small homes also need kitchen/bath/laundry and hookup to services so cost $$. There are a lot of prefab/modular homes with interesting architecture that are built to the same quality/insulation as stick built, even with sustainable materials. That would be my vote if zoning allowed as the "build" would be expedited, less waste and labor. Also depends what is typical in the area. Can't wait to hear!!!!
A manufactured home is certainty more affordable than sticks and bricks. They don't appear to depreciate like they have in the past. That's the route that I would take. I would love to know where you are, but as a single woman myself I too would hesitate. So happy that you are living your dream.
Incredible Tiny Homes appears to be very reasonable.

Linda, come and live with me, I won't even charge you!
I think a mobile home, but I'm on the fence. You did say you were going to Michigan. And possibly get a job or two. And you would need your warmer clothes. So possibly a stick build. But I think you might lean in on a small double wide. I do know they use to make a one bedroom in them a few years ago. But still remembering your conversation at the storage unit. You mentioned a 5x5 shed. Linda I love cliff hangers. ❤ Blessings to You and what You have decided. God bless
Hi Linda,, it's a beautiful Sunday! Had awesome day in church.. and now I am sitting in my chair a watching your Sunday video.. always keep your options,, never know what the future holds.. Looking forward to more videos.. SB♥
Linda: Please Don't State Reveal. Safety first! Ideas for homes that I have considered and are affordable: Modular on foundation with safe room for storms that might come thru your area; a DOME home is great in storms; TN Incred-i-box Randy Jones ITH; is totally worth the LOW price and high quality; and then a stick built home. Can't wait to see what you select. Maggie

I agree. Don’t say where you are. I’d like to know but it doesn’t seem wise. You can just tell us where you are when you’re doing your Gypsy soul travels. 😊
I think mobile home is the way...I personally would go. But pray 🙏 about it. You will enjoy the journey no matter what you choose ✨️ 💛 ❤️ God bless 🙏 stay safe
You are probably going with a mobile home if you are planning to pay cash. There are beautiful mobile homes and you could be living in it within a few days. With your land and home paid for, you could work part time, do You Tube and come out ahead. There are lots of go see do places within a few hundred miles that people would be interested in watching. Good luck!
Build a cabin
Cabin
I live in a manufactured home that is built on a foundation. Once it's on a foundation, it's not considered a mobile home ever again. A mobile home on your own land is much much different in many ways than a mobile home in a mobile home park. We have our own well, septic, etc. Our home is valued nearly the same as any stick built home in the area. And, Linda wants people to visit her, so saying what state she's in is helpful for those who want to visit. Very hard to say she'd be in danger just mentioning the state.
Im looking in to, Clayton mobile homes. They take care of everything delivery setup even hook up of electric and sewer. God will guide you in making the best decisions. God bless you Linda.
Having a gipsy soul, I expect mobile.
I don't recommend disclosing your state. Be safe. I think you will go with a mobile home.
Linda, have you visited tiny homes in Newport,TN. They encourage folk to call and talk to them. If I were in your place I would go small and affordable, just a place to stop over sometimes. I feel that you are going to be traveling as much as you can I would too! I really enjoy your vids when you are on the road! Blessings and stay safe

Yes, did a whole series of videos while staying there in 2019.. thank you.. not interested in their product
Which ever it is, I know you have worked it for you with prayer. It will be great. I hate all the restrictions, codes and hoops you must jump through. I know some are really needed but others really don’t make a lot of sense. Excited to see what you have been led to do. ❤
If gambling were not addictive or bad in some way you should give it a try because you sure can hold your cards so to speak. I have no idea which you will chose! I prefer a stick built. I grew up in a mobile home. My mom feared tornadoes thing wizard of Oz lol. I picked up on that fear too so prayed and prayed for a cement foundation, the size didn’t matter but sure desired brick and cement, think 3 little pigs, lol. God granted my desire. I raised my two daughters in it. Guess what? I now in a mobile home without fear! What kind of mobile home you might wonder… a Ford Cargo van aka mobile home. Lol. How do I not have childhood fears anymore? Deeper trust and dependency upon God. Linda, you are amazing and inspiring. Whatever choice you go with will be the “right” choice :) ~ Stacey
Im listening an I'm thinking a mobile home for you 😊
I leaning towards a mobile home. Seems within your budget. God will confirm this with you and you’ll make the best decision ❤

I think MH, there are some reallly nice ones out their. Oh yes, MH's have increased greatly, I was surprised at how much. Linda, you have certainly done deep research and I know you have chosen what is going to work for you. You should be proud of yourself, accomplishing all of this on your own. You certainly have chosen the right plot of land and soon you will have your friends their to enjoy it too. Thru hard work and critical saving, you have done it. I do hope you decide to share the state you have chosen to put your roots for the time being. Great job well done.

I think you are leaning toward a stick built. It might cost more, but in the long run you are getting exactly what you have been dreaming about. However whatever you decide on, that is your choice to live with and I pray you enjoy your new home for years to come.😊

Mobile home worst mistake you could make!!! This is coming from retired spec builder and custom home builder who never lost a penny on stick built home, never finished spec home that wasn't under contract before finishing. Small open floor plan with open garage that can double as craft space and sitting, Contemporary style, would save you money. I will give you free advice totally transparent, good luck and God bless!!!

Hi Linda, Thank you for sharing and how exciting! I think you will go with stick built. You should let us guess which state your in if you decide to share! God has guided your path and can't wait to see what else he has for you!
Fun and interesting series! I've been looking for land in Delaware to build a tiny home and ran into all the same problems. Delaware seems to me to be a great State to retire in with all the tax breaks but boy do they make it difficult and expensive to develop a downsized homestead! I can't even park my Class B RV in any of the new planned communities in the State. It sounds to me like you will go with a small stick build to meet your design requirements especially if you are looking to make it a permanent homesite.🏡 All the Best and Many Blessings to you!
🙂 Hey Linda.👋 Watched this Twice. The Way that you 🤩 "Lit-Up" when you were Talking about the Lady that Had just the "Type" of Home that you Wanted, is My Choice. She Did "Make it👍🏻Happen" with Help I'm Sure. I Would Be the Same Way. I Don't "Give-Up" Easily. Anxious to Hear WHAT you've Decided upon ! ! This is beside the point of Any of this but was wondering 🤔 if you had seen the New Lil' "Cottage" Tiny Home's that Randy at "ITH" is Selling now ? They are Really Cute. Stay H🙂ppy. 🙏🏼
Looking forward to seeing where God takes you , God Bless
Mobile home
I think you will go with a mobile home, for the ease of the final product, the mobility of it if you chose to move it later on....the price and availability of everything compared to stick build. The price of all property has gone crazy......I bought my mobile home in 2005 for 11k and it was redone. It is only a 1 bedroom and I could selk it now for 50-60k and havent done much with it, but why would I sell...cant find anything near to that price and rents are 2000-2500 a month....all I have is park rent....$450.....cant beat it. The HUD thing can be a pain.....another option you could look into is finding a used mobile home you could move there....I know in my county it can not be older than 10 yrs to be moved and setup....maybe could be an option for you if you found one....then you could upgrade it to your liking with the money you saved....
Good information, thank you for sharing.. they have some container homes which are very nice in design, but are either registered as a RV or would need county permission. Also they are similar price range.. almost impossible to find any reasonable alternative housing for under $50k
I like stick built! But with mobile homes you get a lot of extra sometimes the quality is lacking, but you have a nice piece of land whatever choice you make or have made it’s going to be beautiful! God bless and move forward
My guess mobile home. They are so very nice this day in time.
I saw a MH on KZread. A beautiful home with a wrap around porch, white with black shutters. So beautiful ❤️ but don't know the $$$$$. But I loved it 😍. God will lead you dear Linda 🙏✝️.
Take the weather safety into account with mobile homes if it applies to your location.
Well every time you said mobile home you smiled 😂. So mobile home is my guess.❤. Have a spectacular day.
A state is VERY general with thousands of towns. I think you are very safe to say. I live in Tennessee.
Hi Linda, enjoyed your show today. We live a mobile home and r value has increased, but am in California, everything has gone up. We do keep it up and upkeep has not been to expense Am thinking your going with a mobile home, I think the prices are in your price rage. I’ve watch you for many years, so proud of your accomplishments. Wish you the best lots of 🙏🏽❤️
Neither! Can you live in Happy Haven on the property for awhile. Work over the next year to up your budget or maybe look for another landing spot that really is unrestricted. Love you Linda! Will enjoy your journey whatever it is. ❤

I’m thinking 🤔 ..?????…MH..I’m on the edge of my seat ..Can’t wait .
MH Fresh & new move in ready, so many cute options and they do have "special sales" from time to time.
I think you will go with a mobile home. They have improved in design and building products. Congratulations on finding your land. Now the house. 😊😊
Buy a used MH from a dealer thats only few years old..save lots of money!! People trade them in for new ones where I live.
I think you have prayed about it and trust the Lord with His leading so whatever your decision it is made on solid ground. ❤
Can you make a Home Depot type large shed up to code? I have seen some great ones.

Ok, decision made. Lol. Disregard the above.😂
Stick build!
I live in a mobile home and has vinyl siding easy to take care of and inside walls are dry wall. I wish I had purchased my own land instead of leasing a lot in a community. I am like you love serene and quiet..
My thought is resale. As nice as your Tiny was, I think no bedroom slowed selling. Plus, a buyer could probably get financing easier on a mobile home. Tiny homes are new and financing could be difficult.
I enjoy your videos and your endeavors Linda. I always learn something or enjoy something you share. I also enjoy you putting our Lord first too. I feel you might go with a modular which can be as nice as stick built. Carson in Ohio. 1Peter 5:7.
Linda, I think you’re going to get a small stick built cottage like the one you saw. I can’t wait to hear which you’ve chosen! 🙏🏼💔🐾💔🙏🏼

I believe God will lead you to the right answer as to the right kind of build for your land and it will be a great fit. As far as revealing your state you do what feels best for you. You always do a great job on your videos.

Stay in prayer 🙏✝️. You are a child of God 🙏✝️. I think I'm concerned about you because I'm 72 and have to live in my car half the year and save my SS to rent the rest of the year. I have to cut corners every day but I feel Jesus standing right beside me giving me strength. He will come to you in a dream and make your dream come true ✝️🙏
I’m leaning toward a stick built house. You could build it like the one park model you really liked. And you could add things as your budget allows, like a porch, etc. Good luck in whatever you decide and I am rooting for you either way. God bless.
No state reveal, Linda. Be careful.

Love reading comments and so many people (me included) love Randy and Amanda and their affordable tiny homes. I respect your opinion about them, however, I am happy to know many of your followers also follow Incredible Tiny Homes. That $15,000 RJO is a generous offer, especially in these uncertain times. My son-in-law purchased two for his RV park in SC. My guess is you will get a MH, get it decorated and then the Gypsy Nomad will travel again. There is a lot of "Go See Do" yet to be shared. Take care.

I do not have a opinion “about them” per se.. much more than that.. I am also not a marketing channel for them. The special has been mentioned multiple times.. LOL Happy they work for some. Bless you Johnette!
A mobile home company usually gets their own permits and includes moving in the home price.
Have you thought of doing a pole barn home?
Mobil homes are really nice these days
Hi Linda, I think you are going to go with a mobile home. I agree with a comment I read on another video of yours. With a mobile home you'll have that extra room and bathroom to host your friends or even Airbnb. Blessings, Tina/PA🙏👆
Hi Linda, I think your going with a mobile home.Blessings in your Day.
My guess is a M.H. I hope whatever you choose the finished product makes your heart 😊keep your location private at least for awhile
Could you do a shipping container home? They have some really cool looking ones.
Hi Linda I'm enjoying ur searches. U didn't really mention size I don't believe for mobile home. I watch thru a 2nd time but didnt hear it. Might be moot, because u probably made up ur mind and it's too late. But I'm throwing this out just in case u didn't sign anything yet. The smallest mobile home is a 14x40 533 sg ft. $37k-150k I believe I saw. That being said I'm thinking u went with a mobile home. 🤔🙏🤠 I know it will be awesome whatever u choose/chose.❤ Too bad ur not going to be in Colorado...? Just guessing because I don't think there are any beaches. 😂😂 But just guessing. Anyway the company my Ron works with does that. Anyway can't wait to see what u get! Sooo exciting!❤🎉
When revealing your location, when in doubt... Don’t 😘
Keep staying God focused ❤. Always begin with God.
I find myself getting so excited waiting to hear your latest news!!
I loved your tiny home, a bedroom would be nice for guests.
I still say I would love to know what state. But don't say
This is fun...i say Stick Built...small with one bedroom...or Manufactured home with 2 bedrooms..idk,,you found a manufactured style you liked and could leave out a wall is what i am seeing sooooooo...Manufactured home..yup going with number 2 and decent HVac and tiedowns and vapor barrier from the get go...maybe even he second bedroom is your storage room...yes never renting or having outside storage again but just a little roomy storage room for nice box holder and a company bed... LOL..here we go..what shall it be....
We just bought a beautiful double wide with addition in the blue ridge mountains and you would never know it was a mobile home
There is a tiny home model which is modular.. so cool, 6 or 8 sided that you add modules as you want ...

You are so welcome! Thank you for your comment and email! I appreciate your support very much. I don’t know.. check on Bob Wells YT channel.. I hope so and that would be nice 😊
I was looking outside of Gainesville, FL and found a few companies: Stor -Mor of Starke, FL and Coastal Portable Buildings, where you can go online and actually create your own little building. They’re “sheds”, but they add and make them gorgeous. The cost was a little less than the mobile homes and I wanted to do my own finishes anyway. I just tell you this to maybe give you another idea. Every state has the same kind of companies, you just have to check them out. God changed my direction and I’m now building one where I live in the back yard.
I seen a cute 1 bedroom Mobile home that looks like a cabin
