I’ve always been a morning person, but in my later years it’s been my cat that decides that between 4:00am and 4:30am is a purrfect time for breakfast. So, the dog and cat get breakfast and I get quiet time for coffee, knitting, reading and just slowly relaxing enjoying watching the sunrise 🌅

I was a 4 hour a day lunch lady for a junior high until I turned 67. I mainly retired because my daughter that lived 15 minutes from me moved 2500 miles away from me to live in a warmer climate. I thought I would be going there every winter to get out of the cold. After one winter I decided she was way busy with her life and I missed my home and SC is NOT that warm in the winter. 😂 I was on full SS for a year and was saving money. I originally wanted to work until I dropped dead. lol Most days I really liked my job. I ended up working there for 23 years. I built up a little retirement that I love getting. I have enjoyed my retirement for the last 4 years but I do miss the school kids and some of the people I worked with. I do feel much more isolation now. But I haven't got another job because I LOVE my freedom to travel whenever I'm in the mood which is less and less I've found as I'm getting older. I'm becoming kind of a homebody. 😂

I can't imagine why anyone would say anything negative about Linda. She is such a positive and lovely spirit. Linda, go ahead and promote your goods on your channel; to which you devote dozens of hours per week with shooting, editing and posting. I wouldn't do that without some method of compensation. I feel pity for the miserable people who would post negativity. I have purchased a set of Say it Display it cards that helped my wife through the most difficult part of her life. I'll be buying the book, which I'm glad you mentioned in this video. Linda; when you come out with another product, tell us about it. I'll most likely buy it, you provide value in everything you do. Thanks

I'm 67 and an early riser . I get up each morning anywhere from 4 to 5 am. I started the habit when my children were young so that I could have quiet time and read. I'd sometimes even get all my laundry and housecleaning done so that I could enjoy the rest of the day. I always accomplish so much before most others get up for the day.

I've never slept past 9:00 AM my entire life. I'm usually in bed by 10:30 PM. I love the quiet of the morning! PS: I've watched your channel for quite a while and I never knew you wrote a book....

You look lovely and more rested. It's your channel. Plug your products as you wish. You've written books and developed products to be proud of. I have difficulty sleeping and usually only sleep a few hours at a time. Since our house burnt in November 1982 and I team drove OTR with my late husband. Doing most of the night driving. My sleep has been all mixed up. Plus sleeping during day light is noisy and difficult in a semi at times. I appreciate peace, quiet and calmness since driving OTR. It's priceless. But today I was up at 6:30a.m. Yesterday 4:45. I haven't wore make up in many years. I do use "Udderly Smooth Cream," as it was the only solution a few years ago to get rid of "Wild Parsnips" on my skin. Thank you for the video. Blessings to you.

Hi Linda! I just finished watching the video. I do so enjoy your company. Some of my thoughts - I think you should mention your book and say it display it every video. I read your book and really liked it and I am not a nomad. But it has such good “life” information that I intend to read it again. You should be able to treat your channel like you would your home. Unkind, nasty people are not allowed in my home or to speak into my life so it should be for you and I appreciate you watching over what I put into my soul by taking away negative, unkind comments. I just thank you so much for sharing openly your life and thoughts. Also,I remember you talking after your Walmart job about doing another side job. But you did say never say never. You are a woman of integrity so you don’t feel you have to correct everything only when you feel led that you need to. Blessings on you abundantly Linda, Jesus loves you so much.

Linda, I enjoyed your sharing about the Michigan job. Your photos at the end showed delightful-looking ladies who were your co-workers. Your hair style is most becoming! I am so glad you have another job in order to save up for your new home. My circumstances are somewhat different, yet I will be moving when the Lord opens the door, had some illness which caused my 3 daughters to persuade me I need to move near one of them (they live distances apart). I have found that the Lord's timing many times can be dependent upon our national economy, changes He will bring about due to prayer & intercession, things He knows about but we do not. It's all good! None of this time is wasted, as you know. Love ya! I will soon be 83 so I am "numbering my days to gain a heart of wisdom". I have a LOT to do to prepare for my move from one apt rental to another. May God bless and protect you as He has already been doing! 🤩

There is nothing wrong with retail or side jobs but you have a real talent. You should use it in counseling or therapy fields. So many are struggling today. I was talking to a friend who is a social worker. She told me there is a massive increase in mental health problems and addictions due to the sad state of the world. A lot of loneliness and hopelessness. And she said many seniors are just slipping through the cracks. They need help mentally, physically, spiritually. You have a talent for that not just in your Say it display it but your videos like this where you say wisdom and things many desperately need in these difficult times. Positivity, encouragement, Spiritual growth, virtues like working hard. Make more videos like this one. There is a need for your positive light in this darkening world out there.

Nice video. Today, I went to check out a retirement community. met Mary, a resident, and a very nice lady. We are both past 65. In conversation she told me her favorite ice cream was Butter Pecan. She filled me in on the community life; the walking trail, the community dinners, activities, gym, and more. - She also told me about her life. I shared snippets of my storied life and times. - Experience has taught me, "to leave early." So I did. I said farewell on cue. - As I was driving away, I thought about our conversation. Then, suddenly, I was driving by a large grocery store... - I bought a 3 pint container of Butter Pecan ice cream. I drove back to the community and knocked on her door. I gave her the ice cream as a gift for the wonderful conversation -. She invited me to, "come in and share the ice cream." I declined but told her that I would see her again. - It was all very fascinating, and so much like the younger me. Those days when money, power, and sex ruled by life. - I'm not moving there until December, but in the meantime, she will have a wonderful story to share with her lady friends. Making her anticipation to see me again interesting for her. -

BTW, about your food budget of $250 month, yes you can eat healthy on that. I do, all organic, pasture meat, not much though and much more. I eat all clean, no processed or fried, no seed, only Expeller-pressed Organic Olive Oil. Linda, there are plenty of healthy substitutes for anything you are giving up. I'm so glad that you have made this decision, very important to longevity and health. Tip, Siete, Cassava Chips are fine once in awhile. They are not baked but cooked in avocado oil.

I enjoy listening to your update and experience working in Michigan while I do some work. 😊❤ Congratulations on 33 years of sobriety. Keep going. I love potato chips also. I don't think you need to give them up completely. They are a treat to be enjoyed once in a while. Once you are in your micro home you can make all sorts of healthy chips. A side job is a good social outlet that is good for your emotional, mental, physical and spiritual health. My mom would say, " No man is an island"

I have bought and loved your book and Say It Display it products…outstanding items. I appreciate the wisdom you share. It was YOU that inspired me to accept a PT seasonal summer job on Nantucket- not only have enjoyed meeting people, but I’ve traveled with the extra money. So thank you. You also inspired me (and my husband) to travel for 65 days this summer. We stayed in small spaces and loved the experience. I used many of your breakfast and packing ideas.

The camp looked like a great place. My husband and I lived in Michigan for the first 16 years of our marriage. I love that state. But the mosquitos and black flies can be bad in places. When I retired I got a volunteer job. God made us to work. We just slow down and work less than when we were younger 😂. Good for you. Keep going and moving. It is what keeps our bodies working. Looking forward to your house reveal. ❤

My mama used to say dust off your feet before you enter the house. And the house was always, our hearts. So I took that in life and when people say ugly things, they are dust and I’m going to dust them off.

Thank you for a wonderful chat. What you said really resonated with me. I agree working parttime or per diem is good for extra money to pay for accumulated debt, home repair, a safety net. I waa recently sitting in an ER hospital room with a friend hooked up to a heart moniter for ten hours. Interacting with the hospital staff made me miss working in the hospital. Was layed off and then covid happened and I refused to take the jab as a condition for a job or wear a mask 8 hours a day. My small business has struggled and I am using my personal money to pay monthly overhead which I can't continue to do for long. I had health issues from getting covid three times had me bedridden for months. I am better now and I'm looking for a three day a week job which is hard to find. I don't think I could do fulltime. You are right going to work is good to interact with others. Per diem is a good option. You can work a minimum amount of hours and add on extra when you want to. I noticed you looked very tired when you were doing all that sweeping. All that bending over is hard over 60. Needing to face some issues that I have been procrastinating about which will take money. Also making a decision on whether to close my LLC which also takes money. The last words you said hit me in the heart, brought tears to my eyes and gave me hope I will get through this. God will give me the strength to go on.

No worries. 1 episode with Donna was great. 3 there just wasn’t enough new information so I watched the first and part of second but didn’t finish the series. Linda, YOU CAN DO THIS!!’ Re the unhealthy (but super flavorful) snacks: I have been off them for 4 years. I’m 74. The craving for them went away after the first month of abstaining. Today I no longer want them. When shopping I am always amazed when I see what all I used to eat and no longer want. I lost some weight (needed to) and was able to cancel knee replacement surgery. These foods are toxic to me. If I ever have a toxic food (rare) I get very negative symptoms. I know that if I started to eat them again I would be addicted to them again. YOU CAN DO THIS! PS: With my health & physical issues I am limited in side job ideas but I believe I can find something to do via internet. Robin @ Creativity RV has some unique opportunities listed that are not limited to a RV-ing lifestyle, which I cannot presently do. I have seen a few things in her listings that even I, at 83, can do to bring in a little boost to my emergency savings acct. An emergency saving acct. has kept me out of debt numerous times thru the years but I have to continue to keep it built up. Once I am moved & settled I will likely try to find work via the internet. ☺
