It's at the point where you just feel bad for the players drafted to Sacramento. When so many players turn into busts, it's the development team's fault (Especially when Utah, Memphis, and Toronto are there to show how important that is if you're not a prime free agent market).

Imo tyreke Evans had the most potential. 20 5 5. Big guard with great ball handle. Physical and solid D. Finds way to score. Improving yearly. Sadly they changed his role and he gets injured. They decided to focus on boogie. Now I think tyrese was better and they let him go

The sad part is that Tyreke Evans wasn't even a bust. Dude could've been an all-star even, but the Kings were just IDIOTS and played him out of position, and asked him to do a bunch of things he wasn't used to doing which stunted his development hard.

Yes, well said Tyrese Evans could have been a solid player in Sacramento, but the front office ruined his career. The Kings are good in one thing, fire a coach every year and ruin players career.

Bro, I can't believe Vlade Divac said that about Bagley.. Luka Dončić was the best European prospect in history by far. You can't ask for a more slam-dunk prospect in the draft. He's won, and been the best player on every single level prior to the NBA. If you pass on him you deserve to be a poverty franchise. Who are their scouts?

They seem to be dedicated to Fox for some reason that’s why they traded away Haliburton even though he’s a baller, so they weren’t crowded at the guard position. Still makes no fucking sense as Luka is CLEARLY better than DeAron Fox and I liked Fox coming out of college, but yeah. It seems they have A LOT of faith in Fox that they’re literally just passing on better players

He is the type of player that comes around once or twice in a generation & he was sitting there, waiting for you to draft him. Instead, the even less talented Mavs are the Franchise that got out of the lottery & get to participate in the Playoffs every year now.

3 main problems with this team -Draft busts and bad scouting -Terrible trades giving away their best players for nothing -Constantly changing coaches, they can’t develop a culture or an identity

@@KP-wt8qr I don't expect the Kings to ever be good again lol they weren't even supposed to be good back then just everything fell into place at the right time. They were terrible for years up until the Richmond for Webber trade which was controversial at the time. Signed Vlade, Draft J-will, Addleman coming on as head coach. That 98-99 season they came out of nowhere. Looking back now that was our only shot to win a title was that early 00s run.

Tyrese was the first bright spot for them and they traded him so quickly, also great video love these timelines

I really feel like the Kings were heading in the right direction with coach Dave Joerger. They had an identity and played with so much speed. Luke Walton saw that success and said no let’s play a different way 🤦‍♂️

I swear, you take a look at what the Kings have done over the last decade and a half, and you have to wonder whether they are intentionally tanking the whole franchise. They are in such a bad situation that they can't afford to start the rebuild from scratch because they have been missing the playoffs for 16 straight years and until that time it seems like they will keep missing the playoffs. I don't think they can make the playoffs they will probably finish as 11th seed again west is to stacked.

Some of those draft picks looked bad in hindsight. Passing on Luka was something everyone knew was a bad idea at the time. Luka had just won MVP and a title in the 2nd best professional league on Earth(way more skilled than NCAA) against grown adults at the age of 18.

@@heavylobster4339 Not only that but Doncic has Serbian roots and Divac played with Doncic's father so he had an inside look at Doncic since he was a kid. That to me makes the Bagley pick 10x worse, its not like he was passed on by some American that has no idea about European basketball, he was passed on by a guy that was quite familiar with what he can do. I was shocked that the Suns didnt draft Luka, especially since they just hired Kokoshkov who was the Slovenian national team coach, but I was absolutely floored that Divac passed up on him, I thought there was no chance in hell he doesnt draft Luka.

I became a kings fan right as they started missing the playoffs. Little did I know how much terrible decisions I would have to watch. It's great that things are finally turning around.

The Kings have become the new Clippers. They don't know what their team identity is, so they throw a bunch of players together hoping it works. They forget to realize that a team is more than just players. When a team goes to play the Warriors, for example, they know they're playing a team that can hammer you with 3 pointers like bullets in a warzone. When they play the Kings, it's just a "wtf" team because nobody knows what they are.

One thing teams do know when facing the Kings is that their defense is very bad. Currently teams average the 3rd best percentage from both the three and overall field goals when facing the Kings. And the Kings have had defensive problems for years which is putting a ceiling on how good their seasons are.

They have something going with Kevin Martin and Tyreke Evans then they added Cousins then screwed it up.. Fast forward to the 2018-2019 season where they appear to be cooking something again with Fox then went downhill again they have been rebuilding since I was in highschool my goodness
