Timeline of How the CLEVELAND CAVALIERS Lost LEBRON JAMES | The Decision | The Chosen One

Спорт

After the team's playoff appearance in 1998, however, the Cavs had six consecutive losing seasons with no playoff action. Cleveland was awarded with the top overall pick in the 2003 draft, and they selected LeBron James. Behind James and Zydrunas Ilgauskas, the Cavaliers again became a regular playoff contender by 2005. They made their first appearance in the NBA Finals in 2007 after winning the first Eastern Conference championship in franchise history. After failing to return to the NBA Finals in the ensuing three seasons, James joined the Miami Heat in 2010.

To me the biggest mistake Lebron made(although not on purpose) is winning too much in his early years. Two straight 9th seed( which is literally the worst scenario) Just watch Durant's career, do your own things, grow as an individual then get high picks which turned to be 2 top 5 drafts. Imagine the same thing happening with lebron it would be lebron(03) with CP3 or deron8, just imagine that. Magic entered the league for a team that had Kareem and then drafted Worthy. Kobe had Shaq.Even MJ got Pippen who was a fifth pick in the draft. And Cavs never really gave him enough help. When the 3-headed Celtics beat Lebron and Mo Williams they criticized lebron. But when Lebron chose his own fate and had his own 3, he was the one who chose the easy way LMAO Yes , cuz other greats in history were already given an easier way, just give Lebron a prime shaq or a prime Kareem or like the old Celtics which had hall of famers off the bench.

People criticize Lebron fans for crying for help during those years when they support someone that came into the league with a prime shaq or some team with 3 all stars who were still in their prime.

Boozer didn't keep his word on resigning with the Cavs and signed with Jazz, had he stayed with LeBron, that would've been a powerful 1-2 punch. Then in 2005 free agency they went hard after Joe Johnson who wanted to be the main guy on his own team, and then settled down on Larry Hughes who was a bad fit next to Lebron although he wanted Hughes specifically, they should've pushed harder for an Ohio native Michael Redd who actually wanted to come to Cleveland.

"He isn't a winner"... Jesus I just hate Skip, dude talks trash about a player trying to carry the whole team to a championship... Yes Skip, Lebron is a winner, The Cavs were not.. I really liked The Cavs when Gund got it from Ted Stepien, who was definitely the worst owner of all time, they could've won a championship if it wasn't for the FBI investigating Ron Harper and his friends for drug charges.. Gordon got really pissed and forced Embry to trade him for literally nothing... Tbh they should've been a contender even before Gund, but Stepien traded every future All-Star players they had. The whole team was just a trainwreck, and when he was critisized he almost relocated the team to Canada... 😂 Dude was petty af
