@@PeaneutzTV Their last championship was back in 1951, back when they were the Rochester Royals. They currently own the longest championship drought in NBA history at 71 seasons.

The Jazz were a great team, it's such a shame that they couldn't get the job done in the postseason. From blowing a 3-1 series lead in the NBA bubble, to not making out the 2nd round in 2017, 2018, and 2021, from not making past the 2nd/first round to blowing the team up.

They were a regular season team and didn’t have any star talent. Mitch was their best player but they didn’t have a 2nd star and their perimeter defense was a big mistake and lacking a point guard until they got Conley from Memphis. They just underachieved as a team and were hyped up as contenders

Think we’ll see another rise for the Jazz in the next few years. Can’t say the same for my Timberwolves. 😭

As a Jazz fan, this was a wild, fun ride. I’ll never forget Mitchell crossing up Westbrook in the playoffs, Gobert winning 3 DPOY’s, Bogdonovich’s two buzzer beaters… what a fun era! It was great while it lasted. I was bummed we started a rebuild, but now with Markennan blossoming into his prime, the future is BRIGHT! 😎 #TakeNote 🎷

@@vesper2950 ya but Lukas already been in the playoffs last few years. They start ranking it’ll run into his prime and I don’t think he’s gonna wanna waste his prime not contending for at least the playoffs. Mitchell situation is very similar but Utah already had a lot of good players around him such as gobert, Conley, bogdanovic, Clarkson and good role players. Lukas had injury prone porzingis and Brunson just as he was taking off. I think if the mavs start tanking then Luka is gonna have even less trust that the FO makes the right moves. Just my opinion.

@@jaywarvz yes that too the fact the jazz were already a good team had a lot to do with that as well. Luka came into a losing situation and shortly turned them into to playoff contenders regularly.

As a Jazz fan and Utah resident, this team had so much potential. I felt we should’ve added at least one more person to our roster in order to be contenders. Maybe Lillard could’ve joined us since he went to college here

As a Jazz fan this is sad to look at but good thing Minnesota secured our future and we have a solid young core. Markannen Kessler Sexton Ochai and 3 frp this year and loads for the future. Hopefully we will finally win a chip but I'm skeptical. Ainge has done well so far

Don’t get me wrong I love the current Jazz roster and their future but if you really think about it they gave up their star who led them to 5 straight playoff appearance since he was a start. I know the Jazz had their downs but you really don’t see that nowadays where a rookie comes in leading their team to almost five straight fifty win seasons and five straight playoff appearances and then a front office be like “nah, I’m good”.

Love Don still and wish we didnt trade him but he was all in his feelings about this or that and was always gonna bolt for New York someday anyway. He still will. He aont staying in Clevelamd.

sad that the jazz crumbled like this and had one of the better shots to make the playoffs earlier in the season.

I'm a Jazz fan. I think what happened is once the accolades and fame started rolling in for Donovan, plus his 5 year/$100m+ contract extension, he let it all go to his head, and then started listening to people on social media talking about how horrible of a place Utah is (it's not). And also his relationship with Rudy deteriorated very quickly. It's very frustrating because once he signed that contract extension, leaks in the media from Mitchell's camp started coming out, suggesting he wanted out. I think the Jazz went as far as they could with Rudy and traded him with the intent to build around Donovan, but Donovan made it clear that he wanted out, so Utah traded him while they could still get something for him. It really sucks. And now the Millers' have sold the team to Ryan Smith who tbh, isn't my favorite. He just doesn't understand what makes Utah and the Jazz great (just look at the horrendous rebrand as evidence). He's also alienated a large portion of the population in Utah with his personal views on world matters, which wouldn't be an issue except for that he's been openly critical of the state and our people and uses his views to tear us down. After all that, I'm just not as big of a Jazz fan as I used to be, especially that first season with Donovan and Rudy. It sucks thinking about what could've been. They really just needed one more star player to get them over the hump. But egos and pride ruined it all. It feels like a good part of my childhood is gone, even with the Jazz still in Utah, it just isn't the same. And with a new owner that hates where he's from, and the people of the state of Utah, I don't think it will ever go back to what it was again. It's all very frustrating. If you've read this far into my rant, congratulations. Go reward yourself.

Everywhere is low key kind of a shithole with shitty people. Depends what you like. I find the east boring full of pointlessly mean egotistical people. Utah isnt a paradise but its better than Cleveland. Or Boston. Or Milwaukee. Or Charlotte. Indiana..... The only actual argument REALLY is that yea sure everywhere else sucks but its easier to deal with the racism or whatever if theres more other black people around so even though people in Texas and Oklahoma and most of the deep south and most of the northeast are horribly mean, shitty, stupid people......but at least theres more black folks to stick together with......thats reeeeaaaallly what its all about.

they were always predictable, one main offensive option and no perimeter defense. If Mitchell was shut down the offense crumbled, on all their losing series he shoots pretty badly. On the perimeter no one stood in front of his man, Gobert had to plug the holes but that left open 3pt shooters

Lauri would not have developed into an all star if he had been traded to this jazz team. Back in Cleveland he was the 3rd or 4th option and I believe it will be the same here
