Tim Holtz Glass Mixed Media Mat Review

This mat is honestly one of the best things I've brought into my craft area for a very long time and it has completely changed the way I create. I no longer worry about making a mess or how hard things will be to clean because cleaning up here is just so simple.
There are plenty of fantastic reviews on this mat all over KZread, so I'm just adding my voice. Check out these reviews for more thoughts:

OMG they make a left handed version! I was watching your video thinking “that’s fabulous for right handed people”, a quick internet search came up with Australian stockists of LH version.

They do!?! I had heard rumours of one, but hadn't seen it. That's so cool that they do make a LH version!

I want one of them. One day lol. I thought you could use knives on though 🤔 I use my paper trimmer for everything anyway.

I just have an old fashioned cutting mat that I bring out when I need to use my knife. No big deal! :D

I love my glass mat too! Like you I use my scraper for vinyl. Also the ruler can be adjusted if it isn’t sitting level on the board which is another great thing.

Oooo I googled this when I first saw you use it and I’m trying to convince my dad to get it for my birthday 😅 but I only saw it on arts and craft supply. What was the shop you bought it from?

Does it shorten the life of blades when cutting on it ??

I never use blades on my glass mat.. I just put down a self healing mat when I need to cut. I've had my mat nearly two years now and there are very few scratches on it. I hope that helps you, but happy to answer more question if you have them!

    Wish it was magnetic 😔

A magnetic panel would be a great addition, but there are so many other surfaces that can do that. :)
