Liberal voters moved, Giuliani won in the 90s and he reduced crime amazingly, Bloomberg kept it going. Progressive DeBlasio got in and NYC is now a disaster again. Also it doesn't help when you elect someone who opens the border and floods the country with gangs from other countries. So now you have your own home grown crime plus crime from other countries.

A single person being charged with harassment isn't going to drive down the violent crime rate. NYC's homicide rate is 4x lower than it was 30 years ago, and is down from two years ago

The title is confusing. These women weren't necessarily on TikTok when they were attacked. They are women who posted videos to the platform about being attacked. One I saw in another news story was just coming out of a building after a class when she suddenly got hit.

People dont actually look at the statistics. When you hear about crime on the news and assert crime is up, that's just anecdotal evidence. On the flipside, they should be more specific because anyone can say crime is down if they are comparing now to the 1970s.

Harassment, unclassified misdemeanor punishable with a possible fine and not recorded, assault is a crime punishable by possible arrest and imprisonment and recorded. I'm a Black male raised and living in NYC and I'm telling you, crime is way up. It's just not being recorded or being reclassified as a misdemeanor. Notice anything in common amongst the women assaulted, all of them are white. Lets be honest, if they were all Black that would be highlighted.

I visited NYC a year ago. There were a lot of crazy people in the street, you had to keep very alert. It was mostly okay but definitely a city to keep your guard up. I had a good time.
