It doesn't meet even the most basic definition of genocide. It's a war and innocent people suffer. Which side wants the other off the map (from the river to the sea)? Only one. Which side intentionally kills innocent people and which side tries not to? There is no moral equivalent, unless you want the likes of Iran/Hamas/Hezbollah to run the world. A lot of us do not. The students are either well meaning but misguided or actively wanting a militant theocracy to triumph.

I don't feel the media reports much of the truth, but they cannot and should not repeat the handy slogans of activists. They're designed to push the narrative. We are facing same radical nonsense protests for a long time. In every democracy, there has to be the right balance between freedom of expression, sense of responsibility and public safety and order. Democracies in particular should display this understanding in regard to other fellow democracies. After all, we are all judged by what we do at home and not what we say abroad.

In US, you have the right to vote your own President but in HK you don’t have the right to vote your own Chief Executive as they are screened by the CCP. So when one see police enforcing “law and order” in HK , one can generally think view it’s suppression. But in US case , one would think it’s enforcing law and order as the government which gives order to the police are voted out by the majority of the citizens . Actually " free palestine" doesnt refer to a two state solution, a peaceful gaza and Isreal , but a seizure of Isreal and complete genocide of the Jewish people by " any means necessary" The leaders of gaza , an elected leadership, slaughtered Jewish citizens for decades. Who's behind paying the students on a weekly basis, to go on strike.

Having lived in Beirut, Lebanon for a period of time I witnessed the actions and behaviors of the Palestinians refugees. This was repeated in Egypt, Syria, an Syria which is why those countries will not accept Palestinian refugees today. While the Palestinians tragically suffer, it is the result of their electing Hamas into leadership. Hamas is responsible for the plight of the Palestinians and it should be obvious to them that Hamas's actions have enriched Hamas & PLO leaders at the expense of the Palestinian people. The 100's of millions of dollars in aid they have received should have been spent on improving the lives of the people instead of acquiring weapons, building tunnels, enriching Hamas leadership who live in luxury in other countries. Hamas is an arm of Iran fundamentalism whose goal is destroy Israel based on religious ideology. The only way to free the Palestinians is to get rid of Hamas who imbed themselves within and under the people while inciting a conflict on Oct. 7th. Israel like any other country has no other choice than to root them out the same way the U.S. did with ISIS. Israel has actually been much more patient with Hamas than the U.S. and its' allies were with ISIS. The world HAS supported the Palestinians for years with massive aid which Hamas basically stole from the people in order to further their ideological goals. Hamas will go away when the Palestinian people stand up against their failed leadership. If they choose to support Hamas then they doom themselves. Israel will eliminate Hamas and they along with the rest of the world will rebuild Gaza and hopefully the Palestinian people will resolve themselves to living in peace with their neighbors.

They act like war is going to be fixed because they protested at there campus . What does this even do? Nothing you’re just assaulting other human beings basically creating a war of your own

Historically, Israel has broken twice as many ceasefires as Palestine has. Prior to Oct. 7th, 196 Palestinians were killed in the West Bank in 2023. Setting all that aside, they're a terrible ally that takes US tax payer money and gives nothing back in return, despite attacking the US several times and dragging us into pointless wars in the MENA region. Americans are struggling and homeless while Israelis get their tax money for universal healthcare and education. Even if Palestine wasn't in the picture, there's literally no reason to defend them.
