How do you make skirts without it being kind of see through ? I made one with hdc and you could still see through it :,(

Maybe try a different stitch or just smaller yarn or hook

It's possible you didn't make the stitches tight enough. There are tutorials on yarn tension on yt, but generally I'd just say wrap it around your fingers and try keeping the yarn stretched all the time. But, as Jazmine said, the hook size is also important. The yarn thickness and hook size should fit together

Do girls actually wear those? It's not a thing in my country so it looks bit weird to me.

I think it’s perfectly fine to wear. Most of them sew fabric under it so that it isn’t see through if that’s your worry.
