Update for me. I got rid of my rprf and bought a cz457 varmint. Shoots like a charm and more accurate than my rprf. I tested with CCI standard velocity, sk standard plus, eley target, eley club, and federal gold medal. Love it. Shot well with all of them with CCI sv and sk standard plus coming out on top. I'm surprised you bought the tikka t1x. It was either that or the cz457. We think alike. Lol good buy btw. I also recently bought a tikka t3x 308 stainless steel 22" barrel. I didn't see your part 1 of this video going to look that up now. Well I'm glad you're happy with your t1x.

Thanks for the update brother glad your cz is working how it should! You'd be surprised on how many folks have commented and said theirs shot similar to mine and we're disappointed. The reason I went with the tikka is because the aftermarket is so vast since it has the same footprint as the t3. Glad yours worked out though!!

@@coreyd1474 you would think, but sadly that's not the case. It likes sk and lapua the best with center x being its favorite. I'm like you though. I run everything over a chrono and see high sd's out of that high dollar ammo pretty frequently. Two out of three batches of about 4,000 rounds of cci subsonic have given me single digit sd's. My brick of standard velocity was around 9 I think. Had a killer box of sk rifle match, sd of 3! I had it a while before I shot it so getting any more of that lot was out of the question. I use a magneto speed sporter. Sensor on high it does good.

Maybe i missed it? CCI Standard Vel. and Federal Target were the two i thought shot the best through my T1x setup, also in a Bravo. Optic is a Athlon Argos 6-24 MOA. Did most the 50yd stuff on 12 power. CCI standard velocity i avg'd at the most 0.5" groups, i ran out of Fed. to really get a good sample size of that but it was very similar.

Dont use big targets draw a cross hair on paper target with a pen small aim point. do not shoot the center of target It will remove your aim point Do not squeeze your bag shim the bag as needed Place your thumb straight up the back strap of stock Pistol grip Just a few pointers you should see your groups cut in half Happy planking!

My setup: Savage mk II FV SR Bushnell A22 3-10x Ammo: CCI stingers Federal target I normally shoot this out to 200 yards. Zero is at 50 yards and I use the preset adjustable turret that comes with the scope. My only issues are the bigger mags don't feed well and doesn't eject if it's dirty. But great accuracy. @@coreyd1474 yeah the CZ results are very surprising. Glad I didn't waste the money. Tikka has become very popular with anyone that is willing to give them a try. I would vote it to be one of the best bolt action rifles on the market. And for the money they're better than a lot of center fire bolts closer to the $2,000 mark. When I put mine together I made a budget of $600. (Glass included). For the money spent I'm very happy. Runner up for me was Marlin. I have been watching your ammo test and I guarantee you two things that I have learned in my own shooting experience with most guns... companies are especially guilty about these things when it comes to 22lr. 1) companies don't test to the same level as you do. 2) they usually only test with products they sell. So my build (savage, Bushnell, and federal/CCI ammo) are all from the same parent company. I find doing this when possible works well. And a third thing is "designer intentions" for the weapon. Who is going to use it? and for what? Guns designed for hunting / plinking are usually not tested as well as items for self defense / military / law enforcement. (This isn't true all the time but I find it far greater than 50% to be the case) What's your opinion on these ideas? And have you tried doing any of these I have mentioned?

What is your best 22lr ammo and rifle combo. I have looked at several of your reviews and see that you did not like the CZ. You seem to like the Ruger precision and the 10/22. Those rifles seem to shoot the same as the CZ. The Tikka has only impressed me on the last ammo choice on this video. Wondering why you you use a app to measure sometimes and calipers other times.

I haven’t found a need to change the stock (less money for ammo - I’m cheap and need to feed my handguns and centerfires). @100 yds with CCI standard velocity off a bipod with a squeeze bag I was avg. 0.885. I dropped the pull weight down last night and will be curious to see if the groups improve with THAT ammo. I have some lapua centerx, and a variety of SK ammo, plus one box of RWS. I’m hoping to get out next Tuesday to see what it likes, but I’m waiting on the weather and it is Feb. but I’ve been very pleased with its performance thus far. @@coreyd1474 I will, not too many people post THEIR GROUPS on KZread, or make an extensive testing like you have. I use to shoot .22 local benchrest matches, I still have all my .22's I have some very rare 22 European rifle collection. Maybe one day I will post my own video of my results. I have sone great .22 match bullets from 10 to years ago. I will use the Eley and my wolf fist, then maybe open the case of my Lapua match . Having all those rifles, I am so excited about this one. I might get THE CHASSIS because i have other Tikka SHORT ACTION t3's that I can use the same chassis for.i have the early 1997 model tikka 595 MASTER SPORTER IN .308 AND THE SAME EXACT ONE IN .22, THOSE ARE SUCH GREAT RIFLES AND SHOOT SO WELL.

I wonder after shooting so many brands and getting very similar results you haven’t come to the conclusion that that is probably the best that Rifle can deliver it’s not the ammo

yep thats pretty much what i've read and tell people when they ask. a good rifle will shoot most ammo "well." which this one does, obviously center-x is much better than cheap stuff but you get the point.

@@coreyd1474 no,my rpr with most 1050 vol shoots better than your center x.cci standard vol is good enough for matches.but lapua pistol king is the best i've shot.and the tikka is more acurate than the rpr.wish it would have failure to eject i would stay with it .
