APOLOGIES FOR THE POOR CAMERA WORK AND COLOUR BALANCE ISSUES.
At the Toronto International Film Festival 2010: Q & A with director of Submarine, Richard Ayoade and the cast (Craig Roberts, Yasmin Paige & Sally Hawkins).
Though I am only attending a handful of films at this years TIFF, Submarine was one of my must sees. Richard Ayoade (many of you might know him as Moss from the IT Crowd) brought his debut feature to Toronto, and this Q & A shows how funny he is in person.

It's so nice to see them all four being quite nervous and awkward... I love it.
Richard's dead pan delivery and self deprecation are delightful. His massively nervous body language shows how uncomfortable he is in these situations, but he really has nothing to fear. He could read from the phone book and it would be fascinating. His suffering is, however, nothing compared to that of the 3 delightful stars of his movie, 2 of them children. The boy could well be an Ayoade clone.
Submarine was excellent. I plan on buying the DVDs and giving them as gifts to people I actually care about.
WHEN YOU GOT DIRECTLY CALLED OUT BY RICHARD OMG
Ayoade seems like a proud papa bear with his hands nervously on his hips😀 so cute how nervous they are
So delightfully refreshing to watch 3 young actors totally lacking in pretention. They were as lucky to work with Richard as he was to work with them, kudos to all concerned for an excellent job.
i'm in love with richard ayoade
Richard is so adorable and so awkward and the whole time I had to cover my face for fear of dying of embarrassment 😂
I was lucky enough to see Submarine a month ago at the Dublin Film Festival and I wasn't disappointed, the film was hilarious yet nostalgic in a way.
I very much love Richard Ayoade!
I love how fantastically awkward they all are :')

Oh my! Moss gave up computers and became a film director. I didn't see that one coming, so happy for him :)

The first cut of the film was boring. It wasn't until he started wearing women's slacks that it started to become watchable.
Seems Richard needs the arms on his glasses tightened
eye-o-wad-ee

i wasn't enjoying it as it is quite unique and you have to have the same taste to really love the film. but i enjoyed it nonetheless, it's not like other films where you often regret going in because of the poor time spent. it is a good film and has a certain charm to it.
