Loved this one. The debate continues... Im slow zombie all the way. Fast zombies are what you get when people ask about A ZOMBIE and not a HOARD OF ZOMBIES. Fast hoards are indistinguishable from an anthill or a Black Friday Sale.

For me the slow Zombies represent an inevetable threat, like "meme -Deathsnail" that follows you.they come slow and when they get you it wont be over fast. Their whole slowness adds a lot. The fast Zombies are "just" a physical threat. Idk if that makes sense to you.

If slow Zombies existed, even if humans didn't know how to kill them initially (like in TWD), they would still never cause an Apocalypse, they wouldn't be threatening, they would be the most pathetic creatures on the face of the earth and in a few years they would be controlled.

The word Zombie came from Haitian voodoo, and means a person who loses control of their own body, appearing alive but at the same time dead, that is, those infected in 28 Days Later are Zombies, whether you like it or not, that's the truth.

Up until his retirement in 2015, he had been acting since he was 7-8 years old; so acting is second nature to him. He doesn't embellish like a lot actors do about his inspiration for the roles he's played. Sometimes he might talk a little about why he decided to go a certain direction with a character...but not always. I actually love how matter of fact and to the point he is. No BS from him. lol There is a 2013 31 minute video chat interview he did that I'm glad he did. I've never seen such an indepth interview about his long career. Some of the interviewers questions are a bit odd...but he talks about how he got started as a child actor all the way up to Quantum Leap. Here's the link to that interview: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aXam2dmofc24o7w.html

Art means skill, but we don't usually think of cave paintings as art except in the sense of skill. That's how we tend to treat the earlier developments of a medium. Hence "art games". It makes perfect sense for those of us without an ax to grind LOL

Richard's dead pan delivery and self deprecation are delightful. His massively nervous body language shows how uncomfortable he is in these situations, but he really has nothing to fear. He could read from the phone book and it would be fascinating. His suffering is, however, nothing compared to that of the 3 delightful stars of his movie, 2 of them children. The boy could well be an Ayoade clone.

'Fresh zombies with relatively intact musculature and physiology could initially move quite quickly, especially if they get a surge of residual adrenaline as they 're-animate'. However, as their metabolism degenerated and their musculature atrophied, they would lose freedom of movement and slow down to the traditional 'zombie shuffle'. This, of course, only applies to zombification through infection, undeath through arcanum plays by different rules.

So delightfully refreshing to watch 3 young actors totally lacking in pretention. They were as lucky to work with Richard as he was to work with them, kudos to all concerned for an excellent job.
