I agree with you on Neung, she's always seen as a "hero" by the majority of audience but in reality, she's more of anti-villain. She might be doing this for Sam but she's also doing it for herself. It has "win-win" reasoning attached to it. She knew what Sam wanted and that's why she saw it as an opportunity to release her resentful feelings on grandma for her "own" satisfaction. It was also already hinted in that way when Sam called her and would pay her under "one condition." For Neung, it was no longer about money but about herself and what Grandma has done. It shows that she'll do anything as long as it's in favor of what she gains. Next ep (watched livestream but no spoiler I promise) will show that it's not necessarily true that you'll be happy if you get your own ways. Sam didn't take Mon with her when she entered grandma's home alone, is because she's too considerate of Mon due to her age and sensitivity I think. But it turned out that Sam was the most sensitive one. Mon say seem sensitive but she's not fragile as Sam and is actually fierce while being an empath and felt morally conflicted in this whole ep. She wasn't happy with Sam's decision to hide a relationship and it shows in their love scene. Her irrational feelings threw out of the window when Kirk indirectly threatened her about adultery which is a serious offense in Thailand. That's where Mon stands up for the truth by telling Sam, "Face it. We both lost." When Mon saw Sam's heartbreaking reaction to grandma collapsing, she realized Sam wasn't ready to leave Grandma.

I think this episode is my favourite so far. There is a lot to digest. Your analysis made it even more interesting. You are very observant, insightful and articulate. I absolutely love your insightful reactions, and wish more people would try and understand the characters, their dynamics and why they make the decisions that they do. When I watched this episode, I felt sad with the ending, Sam loves Mon and her grandma the most and leaving grandma killed a part of her. Sam's inner conflict and being forced to chose between Mon and grandma in such a confrontational manner was going to be detrimental to her relationship with Mon. In my opinion Neung's confrontation with grandma was more for grandma to start acknowledging how her choices affected her grandchildren and not for Sam.

I think the thing abt Tee making Yuki do other things is abt her saying blunt things that could worry Mon more; like in a scene on ep7 she mentioned that Kirk and Sam might really get married so mon cried more and then here when she mentioned something might've happen to sam then mon replies with a "huh?" i think th writers just made it as a little gag to distract her for saying things to mon and nothing more deep to it cuz jim knows what tee's doing btw idk if u managed to watch the director's cut of the love scene; I have to point out the more suitable music they used there, u'll feel the sad undertone and longing cuz on my first watch It kinda felt like it's their last night together so the music on that version is better imo 🤔

I agree. Unlike Tee, who is more calculated, Yuki is young and sometimes clumsily says things that make Mon feel worse. I think the writer should have made it clearer. Most reaction youtubers seemed to miss this point as well.
