The way Sam hold Mon's chin, may seem sexy to the majority of audience but I find it kind of intimate in a reassuring way. I don't know about others, but we often lower our eyes whenever someone of higher position speak to us critically but Sam wants Mon to look at her and speak up as if they are equals. Notice how other employees doesn't bother to look into Sam's eyes. I think this episode definitely shows a drastic shift in dynamics regardless of age, financial status, hierarchy and corporal setting. I love how Mon dared to suck Sam's lip, it is not cringe but it highlights Mon's desire straightforwardly. Many BL/GL can have certain issues within overly emphasized roles like top and bottom, which can feel unnecessary or unrealistic. I believe that scene of Mon biting Sam's nose and reversed roles in another scene shows the versatility in the relationship to break stereotypes. I can't wait to see bold side of Mon again in next episode. Symbolism is amazing in the series although I'm not that good at interpreting it hahahaha I just watched Sleep with me few days ago. I love the representation as a disabled person and I can relate to both of main characters. It's really good and reminds me of Wong Kar Wai films in some ways.

I 100% agree with you! The way Sam holds Mon's chin feels incredibly intimate and it leaves you a reassuring feeling of belonging. The way it slowly becomes natural because it is allowed and consented, is similar to "I'm home". Sam is definitely playing different roles in their dynamic but she is looking forward Mon seeing her as an equal! I also agree with your remark on stereotypical characters with assigned "position" (be it social, in relationship, economically) in BL/GL. Here it's not the case, their dynamic is very much one of complementation. Hence the allocated space to grow, allowing fluidity, exploration and reversal. It feels very realistic because SamMon are not 2Ds! I also cannot wait for Mon's character development in the near future!! ✨❤ Ohhh! So happy you watched Sleep With Me and liked it!! I found the representation very sensible (humble and respectful) on both parts! The cinematography was indeed beautiful! The color palette indeed had some resembling aesthetics of WKW!! I think both Sam and Mon are so innocent at romance but due to 2 different reasons. Sam is so oppressed, so robbed of her feelings, can't express things, thus can't actually label her own feelings are or mostly denying what those feelings really mean, so she can't react in the proper channels. So, even if Sam is very certain of what she likes and doesn't like, or have witnessed so much of life experiences, she is clueless about romance. She has witnessed how warm and cute her late sister's relationship was, probably has witnessed Tee's romantic adventures, but when it comes to her own self, she would just react according to two classifications: things she likes/dislikes. If she likes something, she'll go after it no matter what but without proper goal/direction. In the case of her and Mon, Sam definitely likes to spend time with her and just wanna do this wanna do that, so she'll try to get to do those things.. even though she doesn't know what it means. Or, that she's scared to admit cuz she's so cowardly because she's been so robbed of her own feelings. For Mon, I think she's just really young and naïve. She has that fiery characteristics and I think adventurous, but in a way, it's also isolated. So far her life experiences have been probably anchored on her idol Sam, following what Sam did in her life etc. Therefore the feelings Mon has toward Sam, in her perspectives, are just always admiration/adoration toward an idealized idol. She's not clueless about romance per se, for example, for Nop, she's very aware of her situations and his intentions, she just didn't want to lose a friend. In a way, Mon just can't really identify this different desire she has now for Sam, especially after Sam so aggressively instigated things. She just doesn't have a name for the label yet. So, she'll wait while we'll see Sam would keep aggressively instigating things. I'm looking forward to how Mon realizes that she's attracted to women, and not men. But, considering how both Freen and Becky interviews have been going, my guess for how that would be is that Love knows no gender. But again, I'm still looking forward to how Mon realizes that she desires for Sam in totally romantic and sexual ways. I think when that happens, we'll see Mon will be on the moves more, chasing after Sam. Especially when things about Krik and Grandma clears up. Then, when things turn to disasters because either Krik/Grandma retaliates, Mon will cower cuz she's a bit powerless, and that's the time for Sam to rise from being a coward and chases after Mon. I've been watching your reactions, it's very eye opening and analytic. Love it. I just wanna say that I have a feeling that Nita is actually not a bad person. I have a feeling that probably Nita and Sam have a past or Nita is obsessed about Sam because of some reasons, but I think Nita could be a better business partner for Sam than Krik. Krik is just soooooo shady. Well, unless Nita is really just greedy businesswoman, then I'll be happy when the theory falls.

Idk i am not happy about that love knows no gender thing, i wish she would be open and explicit about her love and attraction for women, that its okay to love a woman and fall in love with a woman AS A WOMAN, not this "oh i dont like you cause you are a girl i like you because you are you" crap

@@maycherryblossoms I understand. The best interpretation I have is Mon is a bi because if things don't work out between SamMon, I don't think Mon will specifically find only women to fall in love. I think Sam has eyes on only women. I like to think it's more of a "I love you for whoever however you are and you happen to be a woman is the reason why we're so good together" line.. yeah, still about the personality/individual more than the gender. I personally see nothing wrong with both worldviews.
