I totally agree with you on Kirk comming to talk with grandma, it looks like he´s the one to make her change meaning. Saint said in an interview that he wanted Kirk to be a good guy in the end, they could have done it a bit different tho.. Both Saint and his mother put all their investments into making this serie, it was sentimental watching that and to see how much he believed in this serie. Thank you :)

I was shocked by the way they implemented time jumps into it. It is little rushed but these jumps didn't end with uncompleted plotlines. I like how they didn't change Sam's character into "brave, strong and fearless" which are typical qualities of male leads. Instead, it was Mon who was closer to these qualities while being typical female lead. Both Mon and Sam have a balance between qualities of female leads and male leads. I know some people says that Mon is too passive but I disagree. Throughout the series, everyone was pressuring Sam but Mon was the only person who never pressured Sam. I love this part where Mon tells that she misses Sam then patted on Sam's head which is really big thing since it's often older one who do that to younger one. They really paid attention to small details. I also love Mon's mom. Her parents are so rare to find, they kinda remind me of Elio's parents from call me by your name. Mon is, indeed, lucky to have that sort of mom. This series did defy many problematic tropes. For example, Aunt Mhee's character was usually a punching bag, comedic relief and would be depicted as an effem who's obsessed with men. We were lurked into it but it turned out that Aunt Mhee was the holiest character in this whole series. She didn't seem to be funny after ep 3 but very sensible and humane. Instead, Mon's coworkers were real comedic relief. Lol. Even better, she was using she/her pronouns. "Nice guy" trope turned out to be a representation of male entitlement which is realistically portrayed, I think his redeeming part should've been different. I agree with you on that. I didn't like that part. Villainous grandma trope was exhausting to see in Asian dramas, because it was getting repetitious. But they didn't make her in that way. Top/bottom trope was already a huge problem in BLs, and it didn't spread to GL. They lurked us into thinking that Sam would be top in ep 8 but ep 9 proved it wrong. And even better, NO MORE SAD ENDING trope for GLs. Thank goddess for that! My criticism is that this series felt like it mainly focuses on Mon's pov even in Sam's perspective. But nevertheless, I still enjoyed this series. It may be not perfect but it'll always have a special place in my heart. I respect this series a lot because Saint really risked a lot for this series. He has a dangerous ideology lol. He had lots of struggles in production and investment. Not to mention his risk for his life savings and mother's life savings. He also reaches out to the lgbt community for suggestions and criticisms. "Secret crush on you" is also one of first BLs to represent effeminate gay man (it was often ignored in most BLs) This CEO is really something. Even in lovescenes, he was always concerned for FreenBecky and made sure there were less people on the set and observed that cameraworks were comfortable for actresses. He wouldn't allow lovescenes to continue if he notices a sense of discomfort. It was good thing that FreenBecky were given a chance to improvise based on their interpretation without any discussion, rehearsal, practice or choreography. To be honest, I've never seen anything like that. Usually, I watch such scenes indifferently but Gap's is too way intimate and I feel like looking away even if it's not explicit 😂 This series isn't getting a 2nd season. Idolfactory's manager, Chen confirmed that they'll have a different project for FreenBecky. It makes sense, considering original material wasn't good and was criticized a lot. The author isn't good at it, she even romanticized Sam's "I'm hella rich/powerful" attitude which mostly made me uncomfortable but this series didn't resort to it. Book2 is worse, I don't wanna talk about it lol. For next project, I've heard it'll be a historical period GL with reincarnation in modern times? FreenBecky hinted it few times by speaking in northern Thai accent at an event. Thai reader said it's very good but also emotional.

I feel likee yes a few more scenes would have been sooo nice, like Mon and Sam coming out to Mon's parents and telling them about their relationship, a few scenes with Mon and the Grandma and maybe Khun Phoom having dinner together at the big table that always seem to be so lonely, Sam and Mon telling everyone at work about them and reversing those strange rules that Sam like to have in place. I feel like even one more episode of happiness would have been just so good (12+13) The redemption part itself I had no issues with, I mean Sam literally wasting away would affect even the grandma's previous cold heart. Just literally the placement of the Kirk scene made it seem like she was just listening to Kirk and not Sam, if that scene had been first though it wouldn't have made sense, its better to be a flashback but maybe at the start of the scene instead. Overall all the plot lines got resolved well and explained and we had a FAIRYTALE ending like OMGGGG how gorgeous was their wedding and Mon was just so beautiful I was in awe at that montage scene before the aisle I was just so happy with the story, the plot wasn't the best writing ever to exist but frankly it didn't need to be, the main focus was on the characters and romance and that was EASY 15/10 (as it SHOULD BE, more plot based would have distracted from the romance imo.) Not to mention the cinematography, camerawork, use of color and parallel scenes; just really nice director's choices that really communicated the mood well. Great series that will stay with me forever a piece of my heart.

I don't waned session 2 . Its all ready full and satisfying. I don't want any drama more in this story. But I want new story , new beginning and new excitement. Love this couple 😍

I wish that after the episode ended, they would've shown future moments with them together after getting married instead of showing old scenes from the series. I can't wait to see more Freenbecky projects together. I definitely don't want a season 2 so I'm glad they said they won't. Don't need unnecessary drama between the girls and find out that Sam is sick and will forget Mon. No need for a Stupid Wife 2.0. 🤣 For me, what made this series a hit was Freenbecky's chemistry because overall, even though the series was good, it was a bit rushed. Anyway, you're the only one who would stop and analyze the episodes and you're awesome for that. Will really miss your GAP reactions.🫰

Was rushed because Saint funded everything with his own life savings and could only do 12 episodes, it should have been 15 in an ideal world but not sure if product placement and sponsorship would have ruined the series with those sorts of funds.

@@maycherryblossoms product placements in thai series, are so funny and cute from what I've seen. I even brought these products I saw on series when I travelled to Thailand. I was so happy to have these products in my hand like a 3 yrs old child 😅

this ep literally gave me a headache so i took an advil 💀😹 sam hiding her cry to grandma really hits home for me; i'm no royalty but my parents endured so much that they don't trust no one and only trust their judgement (my siblings and i tried so hard to be seen, and we know they're far too deep to allow themselves to be saved) if they'll see me cry, the thought they only have is how ungrateful a child could be; and instantly think that we hate them the most when it's actually far from that or rather just so not even related to that at all... a miniscule showing of emotion will always trigger them to be painted as the bad guys; and arguing/talking out with them literally make them ill so fighting (as they call it) will not resolve to anything. how i'd wish they'll even get a bit of lady grandma's accepting nature before it's too late lol 👁️👄👁️

Missed your analyse lol Now I must say I was a bit annoyed at sam for not letting mon or leaving her hanging after she left, I knew mon was going to give in straight away lol hope mon gets her back aha, actually in the book there was only one time jump, I only know a few things, and the grandmother and kirk is different than from this episode. Aka worse. The only time I teared up was the end song (Love it, ) and showing there clips I going to miss them and gap lol I know they have another project coming , I seen a comment about it might be a period drama ?? Eek I hope not, I am not a huge lover of period drama's 😂 I prefer this end to what I know about the end of the book, also its a shame they skipped over nita and few other things. The car ? But the dog brought them together ?? Lol 😂 Agree hats of to saint and everybody xD Been some journey even tho englot isn't hiting me, I will see your reactions. The other one looks OK tho.
