You're really good at reading characters like a book and caught lots of details I've never noticed. I like the way you articulate your thoughts. Can't wait for your next reaction. As an Asian, you really know very well about asian culture and can see through asian lens. I have to warn you little bit. The novel has kind of power imbalance and Mon was slow-witted but this series have softened their power dynamics in some ways and Mon isn't dumb anymore (I'm glad so). Sam was even worse in the novel but much nicer in the series. So there can be dangerous dynamics in certain scenes mainly due to the difficulty of adaption from the novel. They changed lots of stuffs and made it more lighthearted in dynamics but yes, dramatic scenes will be heavy with grandma and obstacles 😅

I take it very seriously because to me, I always try to see the world through different perspectives because it is another way to pay my respect to diversity and other cultures than my own!! Hahaha!! Thank you for your warning! It is very insightful! As I was watching, I got the feeling that the novel might be more "angular" and sharp on some topics than the actual lakorn we're watching here!! It's a great thing that they made Mon less clueless and naive indeed! She has more personality that way. Sam seems more human with her updated personality, it is easier to relate to her the way she is now! As for the grandma, I brace myself!! Thanks to older k-dramas and other th-lakorns... I truly like you reaction~~ I can tell you have “Asian culture” understanding that other people don’t get, and you comment or point out on those things. You have a great eye for details. You made some comments that I don’t dare to answer cuz 1) I read the novel, 2) The series have done some adaptation (very good one from my point of view), so I don’t really have the real answers. Looking forward to seeing your reaction to episode 2 and 3 and so on~~~

As always I love your analysis! Tho I see we still have some disagreement on Mon's characterization, but that's okay, that makes it so much more fun! Thanks for the reaction! I'm back on Sam's side this episode hahaha.. I think it's clear so far that Sam felt attractions for Mon from the first bump at that stairs.. but she really fell for her I think she Mon spoke up at that meeting. Also, I think she sensed Mon's familiarity from the start, she just couldn't place her in her memory. I think kid Mon really left such an impactful moment for Sam as well, not just on Mon's life. LOL.. Saint has like third highest credit to the leads and Grandma and the guests stars, but we still don't see Saint anywhere...

Thank you so much! My Thai is very rusty but I have some knowledge of it! For the subs, it is because I was new to recording screen, I didn't know how to show subs in the recording. If I remember correctly, I think I found a way from épisode 7 onward 🥰 Thank you so so much for your lovely comment ❤️ ✨️
