Re: ShotKilling - Alfred, as a former Pro Photographer, You could avoid that situation from happening if you raised your camera to be able to video over their heads as they passed in front of you. Get a platform or just a 12 foot A-frame ladder and use THAT. You don't even have to stand on the ladder if you mount it on ladder before raising ladder into position. If you got one of those jigs that let you pan around by remote control, you could even avoid touching the camera ALL day! CANON has a software app to let you control their cameras by using your phone (or Tablet). You could control both by just sitting in your car or maybe from the pier, but You will have to test that.

If I got a boat, the first thing I'd do (after installing a drain plug), after launching is practicing maneuvering the boat with engines (duel) only in open water, then into the pier, port and starboard, finally practice the process of solo tying up and untying the boat? At 7:53, 8:08 and 8:56; three times the captain couldn't control his boat (versus conditions) to hold it against the pier and pulling the bow line away from a person on the dock, resulting in the captain maneuvering to the other side of the pier so conditions aided him (different person handled the bow line). ;-D

Am I missing something? I've only been a boat owner since 2022 here in Michigan, but I noticed a lot of these people who are pulling into the dock don't even have lines ready to go. It looks like they wait until the last minute and then are scrambling to find the dock line, untangle it, etc.
