Everyone who is saying Joe Dart is nothing special should be watching tennis or something. It's not a sport and he is able to play very funky lines that speak to classic funk with great feel that makes audiences sing his baselines. And as for people saying Vulf are this and that, just stop. They're clearly great musicians and great people and give a lot of joy to the world

What was the most amazing thing about this video was how Scott worked out the dean town line in 30 seconds. My jaw hit the floor.

Is Dean Town kind of like Zeppelin's Black Dog in that the guitarist is possibly best known for playing a riff written by the keyboardist?

Chris Thile is an amazing musician. Worth investigating if you don't know him.

npr Tiny Desk from 2011 has Chris Thile with Yo-Yo Ma, Edgar Meyer and Stuart Duncan - the music is rather grassroots sounding (a style I would not listen to that much) but it grooves and the performers have such a good time that they could be playing absolutely anything and it would sound fantastic. Great stuff.

Joe's solo on Wait for the Moment in their Madison Square Garden concert. That's it, that's the comment.

That was Wulfpeck on Chris Thile's "Live From Here" on National Public Radio, which as the successor to "Prairie Home Companion". Chris is phenomenal. And that show was amazing. I had only heard of Wulfpeck peripherally and was blown away.

Great video Scott !! I love your stuff brother. I also like Joe's approach which I use as well. Lay it down make it comfy and when its your turn make it groovy ,cool and beastly. Good players play well, great players play musically and respect the song or the tune ;)

I watched that LFH episode over and over when it came out--my first experience with Vulfpeck. Best episode since Chris Thile took over a few years ago. Hoping the show can make a strong comeback if/when the pandemic ends.
