​@CarterSlade29 Thor in Ragnarok and infinity war was good. I didn't really like Endgame Thor that much but he was dealing with depression so it makes sense. LaT Thor was like a completely different character to Thor in his first movie.

I heard there was an alternate scene where Thor calls lightning from all the realms and directs it at Malekith. That would be so much cooler than him getting defeated by humans

Thor didn't need to alert them, because he knew he could handle them, and because the Dark Elves are Asgard's specific responsibility and unlike Ultron didn't announce their presence to Earth quite in the same public manner. Ultron personally introduced himself to and threatened the Avengers as a team.

Tony just had an operation that fixed his heart and may be still recovering. Hawkeye & Natasha could be away on a mission. Fury may have known but chose not to call Steve as this is a cosmic-level threat. Banner is lying low and under the radar after the events of Avengers 1. So Thor decides to go solo believing in his capabilities.

I really like how they highlight Thors insane strength here. Like when he cracks the ground upon landing, and his blows creating shockwaves. I've always felt like he's missed that detail as a character. I think DC does their super powerful characters better in that aspect. When Superman is fighting Zod and Doomsday you can feel how powerful his hits are. I think they should have done small details like that with both Thor and Hulk way more.

Ragnarok PXN They do it occasionally: Thor in this fight, when he shatters loads of ice in Jotunheim, taking down Leviathans, destroying an Outrider Drop Pod (size of a city block), etc. Obviously they’re nerfed compared to their comic counterparts, who can shatter planets and shit - but they do know how to display power, though they could stand to do it more often.

@@naingmon yeah but Thor really hasn't done anything close to the frost giant fight since he learn humility I mean him and hulk going at should be like Superman vs Zod or least on par with Hulk vs Hulk buster and yeah he destroyed the outrider ship but with both Mjolnir and Stormbreaker he didn't take down Thanos ship it had to be Captain Marvel and he struggled with a no gauntlet Thanos while he had both his weapons. Yeah comicbook he can bust planets but least in the movies he could be city buster level being and treat him like a god.

This movie is severely underrated and proves that Thor is still one of the most powerful Avenger. 1. He destroyed the Aether before Wanda destroyed the Mind Stone. 2. He was able to fight Malekith (who was using the Reality Stone), while Captain Marvel got one-shotted by the Power Stone. And all this before he was awakened.

And in war of the realms When Malekith trapped him on Jotunheimr, he also shredded through hundreds of frost giants with only 1 arm until a group of other superheroes (including captain america, Bucky I think, spiderman, a mostly normal guy with super strength, Logan, etc) found him.

People are giving Malekith shit about how he used the reality stone. He was about to use it to revert the entire universe back to primordial darkness, killing everyone and everything. That's WAY WORSE than Thanos' snap. And he was gonna do it using the reality stone ALONE. You can blame bad writing, whatever. But the bottom line is: This fight had the biggest stakes in the entire MCU.

@The Grinch 1. Stormbreaker doesn't focus Thor's powers. 2. Mjolnir was destroyed by Hela with one hand, while Stormbreaker resisted 6 infinity stones at once. Even if the stone's powers were somehow lowered or something, that's an impressive feat.

@@kanyerahming because he doesn’t display any godly strength, power, or abilities other than the occasional hammer swing/lighting. I’m speaking more generally than just Thor 1. The power scaling in mcu is too inconsistent. Thor 1 showed his power well in some instances, like the frost giant battle, but then other fights with Loki are just like regular human fights, and in avengers 1, Loki stabs and penetrates Thor, a god, with a knife.

It's so sad that Christopher Eccleston, who is one of the most FANTASTIC actors I've ever seen is known as one of the (if not THE) worst Marvel villain.

You can't do that to Mjolnir. The stones have their limits. Thanos tried using all of them to stop Stormbreaker and got an ax in his chest. There is no way just one takes out Mewmew.

@@Chaosity1k That's baseless conjecture on your part. Just because Thanos appeared to turn a normal weapon into bubbles at one point doesn't mean that could be done to Mjolnir. The full gauntlet had little to no effect on Stormbreaker. Your claim that Thanos never tried the "abilities" is not based in anything. For all you know he was trying to turn it into bubbles, shatter it, and revert it to it's components. Also, "power" is the power stone's ability and that didn't even slow the thing down. Even by your standard that had no effect so why would you assume the others could? The fact is top Asgardians and their weapons just dwarf the gauntlet in combat. Hela walks right by the space stone and just leaves it there because it's not worth carrying around while she is taking over Asgard and preparing to fight her brothers. Why do you think Thanos spends all his time hiding from the galaxy until Odin dies?

After Taikai Waititi and Disney made Love And Thunder and ruined Thor. I love the 2nd Thor movie. Plus it shows just how powerful a Marvel superhero Thor is being able to take on a supervillain BY HIMSELF who’s using an Infinity Stone unlike the GOTG and Avengers who had to work together.

If you listen closely you’ll hear thanos on his chair in the distance yelling “DO DAH TING WIF THE BUBBLEZ!”

not really, the crazy thing is the amoeba there will evolve into sentient beings 3 billion years later and when their archaeologists find the cars they base their entire technology around them and search for this mighty race called the "builders"

This was a pretty bad ass fight scene. Thor did not move like that in End Game.

It happened very quickly, remember. The events of this video are very brief, from a national timescale. Also, Malekith had not proclaimed his plan and how dangerous he was to the entire world (meaning the other Avengers probably didn't know how severe the threat was, till afterward)

I feel like Mjolner was really slept on 😂😂😂 like that hit literally made everything around them collapsed

Thor did the typical boss fight move: taunt the enemy so that they charge their super attack then he hits them mid channel when they are vulnerable

Thor with long hairs.. badass 🤘🔥

I never realised until now that Malekith was played by Christopher Eccolston who also played the 9th Doctor in Doctor Who! 😱
