Well, as they say in Marvel Canon. The older an Asgardian gets. The stronger they become. With this in mind. Ms. Marvel here (Her supe original name before she tacked on that 'Captain' and dropped the 'Ms") would never stand a chance. As in the comics (at least for now until they come up with something more stupidly overpowered) Thor Force is more powerful than the Odin Force.

Where did I say she was MORE powerful than Phoenix? Clearly you know nothing of Chris Claremont's GOAL with her. You know he was responsible for both yea??! Against his wishes Marvel killed off Jean. Later Chris had Carol join the X-Men, and gave her "Binary" powers. She was NOT Planet busting UNTIL Chris Claremont created Binary. This was BEFORE the Phoenix force was developed into what we know it today. Even her DESIGN somewhat mimics Phoenix with the FIRE. She had the power to destroy entire planets if she wanted. At the TIME, she had NO upper limits to her powers. As Binary She WAS Thor level. She was stronger than Thor. Thor wasn't destroying entire solar systems at the TIME either. You conflating feats of today to what those characters were capable of back then. The only time Thor would come close to such power would be some special one shot power boost that wasn't his own doing. Chris Claremont wrote her to be that powerful! Just like he wrote Phoenix to be as powerful as Thor even more so. But Marvel didn't want that, and killed her off. Then they nerfed Carol from Binary. Both thing Chris did not want. I suggest you go read old interviews with Chris Claremont about his intentions for those characters back then. Marvel ended up nerfing Binary before Chris could do more with her. Again... at the TIME Chris gave her NO UPPER LIMITS to her powers. Marvel back then did not like characters being as strong or stronger than Thor. He was their answer to Superman. So she had been hit with a nerf bat at least 3 times. So it's not like Disney came along, and pull Carol's level of power out of thin air! She's STILL nerfed in the MCU! Unless you can point to me where she has control over a magnetism and a planets gravity....

I love seeing them fight across the time zone. Like they actually fight all day and night.

I feel like they evened the playing field a lot more too in terms of power scale, which made her more fun to watch. Seeing her genuinely struggle to maintain her composure against the devil-may-care god is more interesting than her being badass/cool like in the movies (so forced) Still a shit episode though

I love how Thor was laughing and having fun while Carol was going all out. Makes you wonder how things would go if He was in a berserker rage.

This really was one of the best mergers of fantastic directing, animation, and voice acting EVER. Like EVER. In the whole *history* of EVER.

Asgardians gain in strength as they age - had he been Odin instead she would have not faired so well. Let's not forget that Asgardians are not all the same in power levels Thor may be younger and weaker than Odin and weaker than he himself will be when he is older but he is still stronger than most other Asgardians, the average citizen of Asgard are for Thor the same thing a normal guy is to the Incredible Hulk, Thor is an exceptional specimen even by Asgardian standards

There were several points in this video I absolutely loved. 1 it’s nice seeing Thor and Loki getting along. 2 I am so happy the basically they showed Captain Marvel isn’t worthy to lift the hammer. 3 that is basically what you would figure and asguardian frat party would look like. 4 and calling Thors mother in to stop it is just the absolute only way you could. Because a fight would be just something he would enjoy having.

@Ulysses Grant She wasn't "hated" or rather disliked until she became Captain Marvel. Although not incredibly popular she sold better when She was Ms Marvel Than when she was Captain Marvel. Check out the Brian Reed books they are actually quite fun.

I love how to Thor, this is basically just a sparring match. Shows you how powerful he really is. Yeah, he _could_ have single handedly defeated the Chitari (I'm not even gonna pretend I know how to spell that) in The Avengers, but he probably would have also flattened New York

In fact it is very, very superior to any weaponry on the planet, Thor in thor dark world was able to fragment the Aether, a relic that endured the big bang itself and that would consume the universe, the power of the characters in the movies is quite underrated, it will not reach the level of the comics but they are quite powerful

@Seyi Olotu I wasn't the biggest fan of the Captain marvel film either but people really need to relax when it comes to being biased against her. This is an ENTIRELY different timeline lol. This Captain Marvel would beat PARTY Thor tbh. She seems around the same as her Main Universe counterpart and this Thor is like Dark world level. He would defo get merked if she went all out. OUR Thor however would merk all the variants of Captain Marvel we've seen so far. It defo wouldn't be a contest either lol.

She didn't. She was surprised to see Frigga show up and didn't know she was Thor's mother. Jane Foster called out to Heimdall, who brought her to Asgard and then sent her to Frigga. She's the one who narced out Thor (because she found out that SHIELD was planning on nuking Thor and Captain Marvel).

Deep down we all wanted Thor v Captain marvel a live action fighting scenes.

I preferred this by far to the movies’ representation of Captain Marvel. The movies tried way too hard to show her as the OP female savior of the universe who is better than anyone else. This clip shows that Thor can easily go toe to toe with her.

Not even close to even, she's only Half Kree, he's full god. He won at 2:45, and that was because he knocked her flat on her ass. Also, he's not even going any kind of serious, no Thunder god powers, and no berserker Thor...he's a literal god, also his strength is that of Odin, officially. So he's literally just playing with her, while she's being serious, nuff said.

@@paveesfox375 - perhaps that's the turning point in this universe where Odin changes his ways - everybody (it seems) turned out much happier after he had a change of heart & banished Hela after their lethally destructive crusade. He obviously went around fixing all the problems he caused - with the Ice Giants (Loki)& Surtur; the enemies in the MCU were friendly in this one becauseof those actions. Thor may have been a brat (like in the first movie) but all he wanted was some fun with fun people. Can't really blame him for that.

@@paveesfox375 it’s annoying how the strip a bunch of factual mythological elements from Thor’s origin tho. Like the real Thor has way more siblings like Baldur or Tyr or Heimdall. And Hela isn’t their sister; she’s Loki’s daughter and the Guardian of Hel. And her name was also just Hel. Also, Surtr was not the cause of Ragnarok. It was the two wolves, the sun and the moon. And that only happens because Loki tricks Hother(a blind god) into killing Baldur(the god of light), by getting Hother to pierce Baldur with mistletoe(the only thing that could kill Baldur). I wish the marvel version was more in line with the real mythos version or Norse paganism.
