This Strat Revolutionized Trackmania's Hardest Maps
Ойындар
Trackmania players will stop at nothing to achieve their goals, and finishing the hardest Kackiest Kacky tracks is no exception. This is the story of the discovery, popularization, progression, abuse, and eventual redemption of Trackmania's simplest strat.

Fun fact: All b-roll shots in this video are on Kacky tracks which have had low-input strats discovered.

I absolutely hate the sentiment of gatekeeping information because there are bad actors. Keeping such information secret helps no one. Bad actors are always there and the only way to find them is by looking for them, questioning achievements (by everyone) and double checking suspicous activity. Additionally throwing bad actors "easy" targets makes exposing them easier.

I agree
You should create an audio track that could be played alongside the map with beeps at consistent timings just before the inputs are needed. maybe 350-500ms before? The sound cues would likely be REALLY helpful.

Goes to show that the best story tellers are the ones who have experienced it themselves. You seem like an absolute genius figuring these out and are a god send to the kacky participators. Especially for those rng maps, absolute legendary status xD.
Awesome video, would be really cool to see more documentaries from you!
I never thought I'd be as interested as I was watching a video on such a simple yet intriguing premise in our favorite racing game. The presentation was spot on, and I found myself deeply engaged way more than I'd have ever anticipated. Excellent video man! You've earned a new sub, and I hope from others many more.
What's the point of concealing strats just because a cheater might use it? It's like when teachers punish a whole class because of one misbehaving child; the misbehaving child keeps misbehaving, while everyone else suffers for it. There's always going to be cheaters in games, but the vast majority of players are honest. Communities are supposed to help each other and foster competition, but concealing strats does neither. A community that isn't open with each other can hardly be called a community at all.
this video just randomly popped up in my side bar and I gotta say the first minute already reminded me of how I clicked on a wirtual video the first time, I think you can make it high up.
your storytelling is amazing, keep on doing these types of videos and you'll go very far my man
Loved the vid. Happy to see somebody taking over the TM documentary torch since Wirtual only rarely posts those these days :) Here's to your 1M subs in a year or two! :)
Incredible documentary, great work put behind it, you can really tell thet youve got passion for both trackmania and youtube! Hope to see you make it far!
this was so well made, wow, please keep it up
Great video and storytelling, would love to see more documentaries from you
I never put more than an hour into trackmania, but over the past year I've watched many many hours of Wirtual playing it. Tried some other content creators in trackmania and wasn't interested. BettaTM is the first trackmania player to make youtube content I enjoy equally to Wirtual. Great video! I was interested and engaged watching it.
WOW! No wonder this quality seemed familiar. Only when you showed your previous video as a pop up at the end did I realize I've watched you before. Stellar quality, I'll subscribe for future content like this one. 👍
We need more of this, what an incredible video
Top of my KZread front page and I thought you were wirtual. Good job!
Interesting video! You managed to drag us into the story and kept the viewer entertained through out the enitre video! Enjoyed listening along and made me fully watch it to the end. Amazing work Betta!
Really refreshing video, I enjoyed every single bit of it. Also, great storytelling keep it up!
What a gem! Subbed immediately! Looking forward to see more! Very good storytelling and editing!
the drop at 5:28 was insane you truely "get" how to make fascinating videos!
Leaving this comment here for me to try to estimate the actual timings of the inputs at 23:03 later (although I don't find such achievement very plausible). 60fps setting. Note: this comment is obsolete because they've already found the timings of the imputs. 23:03, frame 44: start of race (0.00) 23:07, frame 19: earliest spotted instance of the right key being pressed (3.566 to 3.583 [from start of second: 0.316 to 0.333], thus 3.57 or 3.58) Note: frames 17 to 18 had the same distance time-wise between them than to frames 18 & 19 (so 1.667), so I assume the right press was made likely at 3.58. Conclusion: likely, 3.58 right press. 23:07, frame 35: earliest spotted instance of the right key being released (3.816 to 3.833 [from start of second: 0.566 to 0.583], thus 3.82 or 3.83). Note: frames 33 to 34 had the same distance time-wise between them than to frames 34 & 35 (so 1.667). Conclusion: likely, 3.83 right release. Airbreak (unfinished): estimated 23:09, frame 41 (5.933 to 5.950).
Incredible video, the pacing, excitement, it was interesting the whole way through... Keep it up!

It's kinda insane that with low input strats keyboard became in some way better than analog devices and may become prefered input device for kacky.

Amazing, enjoyable content! Keep it up.
i think it's worth mentioning how someone won Cup of the night using a low input strat, he'd found a perfect turn angle that could be held from the start that would result in a fast time on a track very hard to do consistently. track was called "deterministic deep dip." Would that be a zero input Strat?

Sinon probably just used timed macros which a lot of keyboards and mice come with these days, or edited replay files. I use macro scripts in many games that have tedious tasks. Not so much an exploit but just tool assisted. I don't think sharing them is a big deal. Its just the same as sharing tips and tricks on any other track. Because one person did it, they're gate keeping what otherwise is completely safe to share
At 11:48 it Saïd Simo the greatest kacky player of all time because he won 3 kacky championships
At 1:06 is where Simoo in one of your videos won the kacky 3 times I’m a FAN
