God is evil. Christianity has one ginormous flaw - the belief that we are innately irredeemable and can only be saved by a god. This god who is worst than any monster that humans have ever produced. A god who feels he needs to flood the entire world and pretty much mass genocide every one but a handful of people. A god who nuked two cities. A god who ordered Joshua to kill every man, woman, child, baby and animal in Jericho. A god that demands we worship him or suffer in hell. A god that teaches us to hate and be judgmental about LQBT and people who worship a different god. A god that teaches us to cower in fear of his wrath, to tells us are worthless without him and to never question the irrational things he tells us, and etc., etc., etc., etc. That this is all done by one monstrous god and yet Christians still woship him is baffling. With a god like that, who needs the devil? But I understand. Believers are scared of hell, so they'll convince themselves that their god is loving and worship him. What cowards. Fear and self-loath is the core of Christianity. What a rotten religion.Let us hope no one really acts like god.

@@Jeff_the_ApocalypticGameCat I say to be brave not that you aren’t already brave but to be braver. The night before crucifixion Jesus knew what was to come. God exposed him to the visual of what would be his death. Jesus was already strong but he needed to be stronger for that moment. The exposure to the vision did that. You must expose yourself to the things you are afraid of not so you are less afraid but so that you are braver.

While trapped amongst the equipment, a sense of peace came over me and my thoughts became clear and I knew that I would be considered handicapped. But through the peace, an overwhelming thankfulness for being alive surged through me. When I medically became alert, that peace was still there. I physically fought to rehabilate and refused to let anyone speak negativity around me.

Jordan, I was so close to taking my life. So DAMN close! I was less than 24 hours away from doing it... It was all I ever wanted, Did everything possible to prepare myself. I said my goodbyes... That same day, I found you. I also found a scared lonely kid, inside of my soul. I was sure I was completely hopeless, but that kid....I realized he was the last remaining 1% of my Sanity. He was hiding the entire time from me, in the deep corners of my beating-heart. I never knew he was there.... He was so sad. He was so scared. He didn't want to die. He never did. He was crying to me. Told me he hid because I scared him so much he didn't know what else to do.....He told me to please not go away. That he needed me. That's the day a voice deep within my consciousness was born. then I immediately after broke down into tears. That same moment, I had learned how selfish I truly was, and how I was victimizing myself without even realizing it. I spent so much time punishing myself and accepting Death.... I had become addicted to the suffering. I had never known that about myself. Thank you so much. From the bottom of my heart. For the first time in over 10 years, I can actually feel the slightest bit of Love for myself. Daily I fight to build up my Value, because now I know that I deserve to live. And it's not fair that I have to be suffering all the time. Because if life was done with me, Then I wouldn't be waking up in the mornings, Able to breathe oxygen through my lungs. I deserve to LIVE and LOVE MYSELF . Where did I go wrong? Writing this is making me tear up so bad. Just thinking how that day could have ended up Entirely different. Bless you and your Existance. It's truly an honor to be alive at the same time as yourself. If angels are real, now I know they exist❤️

You seriously impacted my life. For the better. You have no idea the gratitude and special place in my heart that I have for you. Truly Magnificent and Divine. Unfortunately, words cannot express how happy, but silly I feel now that I'm Awakened. It's like.....the Universe gave me a pair of glasses....and only I can see through them. No one else. Somehow, don't get me wrong I'm aware I'm about to sound what some might consider "crazy", but I can just know when someone is suffering in silence and when I'm being decieved and many more other things. Like I grew an extra 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th sense. It's hard to explain. You woke something up inside of me, in a good way. I'm actually able to have a conversation with my subconscious....or not sure who....and it replies to me as if I'm having a face-to-face conversation. As soon as my mind wants to welcome the intrusive thoughts, it tells me to "Turn it off". I count from 5, all the way to 1, then place a positive anchoring thought. And I feel so much better. I know I'm not crazy., But I aknowledge it comes across that way. I just don't know.....who I'm having these conversations with. Well the point is. I owe you my life. Only difference from you to others....only one who has been able to relate, and tap into my soul to pull me out of the prison I was stuck in. Thank you. You're such a good human being. He is a better psychologist than he is a political ideologue or theologian. People are devoted to this man and his bitter sweet tragedy view of life. Man is created to praise, reverence, and serve God our Lord, and by this means to save his soul. And the other things on the face of the earth are created for man and that they may help him in prosecuting the end for which he is created. From this it follows that man is to use them as much as they help him on to his end, and ought to rid himself of them so far as they hinder him as to it. For this it is necessary to make ourselves indifferent to all created things in all that is allowed to the choice of our free will and is not prohibited to it; so that, on our part, we want not health rather than sickness, riches rather than poverty, honor rather than dishonor, long rather than short life, and so in all the rest; desiring and choosing only what is most conducive for us to the end for which we are created.

I think what I admire about Jordan Peterson is that he expresses his morality, which is largely a Christian morality, without being dogmatic and self-righteous in a way that few preachers are able to express without seeming condescending and judgmental.

Definitely. I think his sense of God is much better than the sense you get from your average preacher. I think there's a metaphorical way of looking at God that would make sense to a logical mind... Something like collective consciousness or logos or the collective wisdom of every human who ever existed... But I really rather dislike the "sky wizard who grants wishes" way of looking at God. JP has definitely given me a greater appreciation for the role of God and religion in society.

in recovery, any time someone is preaching what you have to do is telling us what they aren't doing themselves, theyre projecting. I found much better , non preachy, spiritual guidance in the writings of emmet fox. Peterson is trying to intellectualize his way to God, that doesn't work, the bridge of reason does not cross the gap. Hence the saying, a leap of faith.

@@gerardjones7881 I don't know who Emmet Fox is, but Dr Peterson has his place and his job. Whether you realize it or not he is doing the job God wants him to do. He may not know it and you may not believe it, but God works with imperfect people and always has. There has never been and never will be a perfect person on this Earth other than Jesus Christ. Perhaps you do not know or realize this but in the Old Testament, the name of Jesus Christ is Jehovah. He made the Earth and he did what was necessary for men to be redeemed. He was the only one that could do such a thing and he did it. Who did he work with during his ministry on Earth? Publicans and sinners, people who were broken and who made the changes requested of them by Him. This current cultural/social environment of incredibly psychologically blind "social justice warriors" that look down on others for the slightest mistake and then accuse them of being horrible when they don't obey or support arbitrary rules made up by said imperfect people is probably one of the reasons God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. Surely they were guilty of the same mistakes and devoid of any degree of humility. Dr Peterson may not be perfect and he may not preach God the way you want him to, but he _is_ humble and accepts that he makes mistakes, unlike most others including too many pastors/evangelists. It's one of the reasons he has become as popular as he is. Also, if you think Jordan Peterson hasn't done what he's telling us to do in this video and all the others he's made, then you haven't been paying attention. He was put on benzodiazepines and became addicted. He had to go through a recovery process that was brutally difficult. He traveled to Russia, then into a small eastern Europe country (I don't remember the name) to find a treatment and recovery program that would work. It was so bad that he felt like he'd rather be dead. But he's past that now and is a changed man. So just because he's not a member of your congregation and your specific brand of Christianity doesn't mean the things he says aren't meaningful. If they weren't meaningful then he'd never have become well known. He'd have been forgotten.

@@jchinckley the fact that he went where there is no recovery program speaks volumes. But thats 100% predictable with addicts, change without change. Recovery programs that are tied to religions fail miserably. Emmit fox lived in NJ, he wrote very effective books on spirituality, the founders of AA visited him many times to get a better understanding of the nature of God. Atheists on the other hand accept their responsibility head-on. You never hear an Atheist utter the sad ole Christian saying The Devil made me do it. We have no devils to take away our blame as Christians do. And we have no Jesus to forgive us for hurting our friend Bill. We have to go face Bill ourselves and ask him for forgiveness. I still can't understand how Jesus can forgive a Christian for hurting their friend Bill without ever even having to look Bill in the eyes and say please forgive me. Being a Christian seems like a total cop-out to me. Just a sneaky way to get out of your own responsibilities forever, even after death so to speak. Christians have it all ass-backward, and the Atheist are really the ones who face their own responsibility by themselves head-on with no help from a magical sky daddy.

He's into spiritual stuff now, as I am, but he's going way more the spiritual direction than the moralistic one I think because his dad was a minister and he doesn't want much to do with it all. But I hope he sees that if his idol can come back, he can too. He really needs it too, I see the good in him and he wants to do good, he's just not capable of following through or being much of a friend. I'm no angel either, believe me, there's another side of me which wants him to feel the pain because we never connected as I had wished. Still, more overarching is my desire than all my enemies or adversaries be turned into friends. This is the way.

Yes, language and words and meanings change with time. Within Holy Scripture is a whole Canon of literature that reflects the many ways that languages can be used and how distinctly different each genre is. But your argument misses the point. The essence of God become man, the Christian incarnate God who reveals Himself in and through books written by humans but inspired by God does not need a perfect linguistic idiom or even an idiom at all to transmit His essence to us, to let us know who He is and to allow us to be one with Him, as He and the Father are one. This is arguably the purpose and goal of divine revelation and the fruit of salvation. There is wisdom in the adage "know your audience". I submit that God intentionally chose an imperfect medium to reveal Himself to an imperfect world, the masters of which are indisputably, existentially, ontologically imperfect.

Jordan Peterson has opened my eyes so completely to a potential in myself I was never willing to see when I was younger, because to acknowledge that potential and to strive for it, also meant to take responsibility for my failures and my short comings, and I wasn't ready for that. He reminds me that humanity is more than our darkness and that I, as an individual, have the power to bring some light into my own life and the lives of everyone around me. And if I have that power within me, and I choose not to act on it, choose to let the darkness consume me and to let my friends and family suffer in that darkness, then I am the worst kind of evil there is. And so I have made conscious choices in my life over the last few years to push my limits, to test my boundaries and to try to become all that I can be. I fall short, all the time, but I am so much stronger and so much better off in life for having made the effort. When I discovered Jordan Peterson 5 years ago, I was a cynical, broke college student, failing my classes, miserable in my job, convinced that I would never find love and happiness. Now I am happily married to the love of my life, with a child on the way, and the joy that has brought into my life is unspeakable, but it is also another layer of responsibility and pressure that the old me would have crumbled under and ran from. Instead, knowing that my family is growing and that they are depending on me to care for them and guide them has made me push myself again to reach higher and do more. I'm going back to school, while still working my job in the military, and I bought my first house and I'm saving for a second car and trying to get myself more in order to provide that support for those that I love. We all have this incredible ability within us to shape our own world into something amazing and beautiful, but with that power comes immense responsibility, and I am forever grateful to Jordan Peterson for helping me find the courage to take up that responsibility because it is so worth it.

She sees you almost as God..look what you've done for her. So she will live her life well here but what about the soul when the body dies. Where will that go? Will their blood be on our hands? Our purpose is much more simple than you all make it & what we continually hear. It is: To know God & make HIM known..this life is just a stepping stone to eternity! He cares about the Salvation of souls. What does He say: He is not willing that any perish but that all would come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ! Jesus came to restore us back to the Father..to have what was our birthright before the rebellion happened!

And..'I'm saving for a second car & trying to get myself in order..' To me that sounds driven. And where did she get the:'Then I am the worst kind of evil there is'..ouch. Actually..'ALL HAVE sinned & fall short of the glory of God". And why is the family depending on her to provide & care for them..to bear the responsibility. There is a man..she is his help meet..he's to be the head of the home isn't he & take responsibilityfor his family.. .well that's the Biblical way. 'Be still & know that I AM God'. Of course it's great you have encouraged her much & your words she has taken very seriously to make something better of her life..I just am sad she's not been pointed to the one who is the meaning of life..the One who is the light of the world..who shines His light in the darkness..who wants us dependant on Him for His power in our lives.. the Holy Spirit. John chpt 1. We are lost in sin & trespasses without His life..no matter how well we do in our flesh. It's all vanity..Ecclesiastes. It's dangerous actually that we put you on such a pedestal. There's something very loveable about you because of your sincerity. However..God alone knows the heart & tests the reins. And He knows & has said that the" heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked "! Only He us perfect even if you might seem so to us.

@Kayla Beasley...you stated you are in the military? I'm glad that your life sounds wonderful and going great and you're working hard for all of your goals, but what happens if the military leader goes mad like Hitler? What if he comes in with martial law and ceases your home, ties you up and locks you in a room, and ceases the money that you worked hard at saving? What could you do then? Could you accomplish your goals? You see things like that happen, and it doesn't matter whether you are good or bad. So you can have your life in order and your goals in tact, but an enemy can come in like a thief in the night and steal those dreams. Think about it...Adam and Eve were frolicking in the garden with all their dreams ahead of them, and what did Satan do? But life goes on, right! I can attest for such a mad man, because no matter what goals I have (and try to accomplish) my "delusion" steps in and those goals are unattainable in reality. Take for instance here is just one, but there are many goals that I've tried to accomplish that goes like this....I need parenting classes, and I have got knocked down and unable to enroll in ANY of them that I have attempted to enroll in...and that's just one of the many goals I have tried to obtain. It seems like money rules the rulers (or at least the majority, there are a few who still probably hold God's ways of integrity). So if Satan owns the world, and he is your enemy (because you love God) then according to the bible it doesn't matter what you do in this system of things, because it is ran by Satan and his crooks. Of course you'd have to believe in the bible to believe that.

I'm glad Jordon Peterson is so popular with young people. It gives me hope. As to the message in this video, I'll defer to a pearl wisdom that predates me by more than a few years: “He who learns must suffer. In a world that endlessly feeds young people death, despair, confusion, and chaos...his voice has become and will continue to be a source of hope, good, light, and positivity. Not in a religious sense like he's a prophet or something, but it's just such a STARK contrast and people eagerly gravitate toward that. Also the reason so many of the peddlers of that darkness and confusion seem to hate his guts.
